I took my 2 great-nieces and great nephew to see 'Migration'. The kids loved it and I ate too much of the popcorn!

Good seats for the price. The popcorn is also not too salty. Ample parking nearby

Happy to have this theater in town in walking distance also near restaurants. I love the seats and the seat warmers, but the screens and formats can be updated. I've been a Cinemark member for a few years now and have taken advantage of a lot of discounts because of it. I do have referral codes to share that work at any theater. I also recommend buying gift cards at Costco for a better deal to use with your membership discount. Service has always been very polite and the theater has always been clean.

Good seating and decent showtimes but only downside is you hear and feel the train move pretty frequently.

I had a disappointing experience at Cinemark with the manager, Sam. She refused entry with outside food and was quite rude, lacking good customer service skills.

I hosted my daughter 's birthday party here. The auditotrium we rented was so clean, and the staff are very friendly and kind to us. Having a party at theater will be a great memory for the kids.I know it costs not so little, but I joined the movie club so that I can get 20%off for snacks, so I think it was reasonable.

Amazing heated recliners with a fold away tray for your drink and snacks... Fabulous place to see the Taylor Swift Eras Tour film even if I did nod off twice because the seat was so comfy!!

My go to movie theater located in the middle of downtown San Mateo. Great location and really convenient to get dinner before or after a movie

Comfortable seats with heaters. But, the arm rest doesn't lift so you can't snuggle with your partner. Theaters are very small so it really isn't the big screen experience.

So much has changed since the last time I reviewed this theater. I don't know if it was the pandemic? But this location is one that I will now actively avoid. Trust me, I'm really sad about this. My reasons are a mixture of how they manage the theater and the clientele. Recently I booked a matinee movie for "Past Lives", thinking this was a smart move on my part. Well, ended up not paying off. The theater didn't open on time, actually it opened 40 minutes late! There was a mob of people waiting to get into their movie. Because films are now automated, if your movie was set at 8:55 a.m., and they opened their doors at 9:30 a.m., you already missed a chunk of the film. I was one of those people. To top it off they didn't have any of the concessions running, I needed to use the bathroom, but didn't want to miss more of the movie. I left knowing that was my last straw.Second experience was earlier, say two months prior. My husband and I are in watching movies ("The Whale" and "Missing") in separate theaters, we both have the rudest young people dominating the space. My husband's experience was teenagers running up and down the aisles, then talking loud and playing on their phones. Mine was a full row of teenagers talking super loud during the movie. I wish that they had someone do a quality control check, like they do in Los Angeles. I know we're just the Bay Area, but hey, all of us pay for it.Third experience was we go to watch "Guardians of the Galaxy" and there is this kid, say 11 years old, that just wouldn't stop coughing without a mask. I know the mandate is over with, but his cough was the juicy kind. It was really hard to relax when that was going on the whole movie.Parking isn't included, unless it's Sunday. Then it's free. I'm over this location and hope that it does get better.

I mean the positives first... Very convenient location, very comfy chairs, tickets weren't too expensive..The down side I was very disappointed. The theater was dirty and unkempt, and the customer service was poor. When I first walked into the theater, I was immediately struck by how dirty it was. The floors were sticky, and the air was thick with the smell of body odor. I was really disappointed that the theater was so dirty, especially considering how much I had paid for popcorn I couldn't refill. The customer service was also poor. When I went to buy my ticket, the cashier was rude and unhelpful. She didn't even smile at me when she spoke, and she made me feel like I was an inconvenience. I was really disappointed with the way they treated me.

First time coming to this movie theatre as I typically frequent Cinepolis at Hillsdale Shopping Center. The movie was sold out there, but was able to snag some reserved seats here online. Not a fan that there is a surcharge to buy tickets online, but seems to be a trend for a lot of theatres.Located in downtown San Mateo, parking can be a little tricky since many have a 2h limit so recommend coming after 6pm or Sunday for free parking! The lobby needs a refresh. The seats were leather with recline and enjoyed that you could heat them. The seats were showing some wear, but overall still comfortable. Definitely won't mind coming back!

Nice theater, team members are super nice every time I go in. They keep the place clean and running smoothly.

Bought ticket online for 8:40 am. The cinema opened at 9:30 am. Everyone was waiting outside. Spent another 10 minutes in line waiting for a refund. Worst experience ever.

I always enjoy going to this well-lit, comfortable seated theater. The movie theater food is fresh and the workers are very friendly. The theater is always not crowded, and we always have great seats.
