Got a chance to checkout the sandwich shop while I was in the area. It is a delightful sandwich stop conveniently located within the grocery store. If you are in a rush this shop has a wide range of options, and it's a go-to for a quick and tasty sandwich. Fresh ingredients and flavorful combinations make their sandwiches a solid choice. The service is quick and the people there are extremely nice. If sandwiches don't appeal to you they have plenty of other options that look delicious. The sandwich itself isn't out of this world but gets the job done. It is extremely filling and quite nice. They also toast the sandwich if you would like.Overall I would recommend this place if you are in the area.

Just a brief review of sushi at Mollies - love Thumdar and her sushi making skills - yeah it's not fine dining, it's a quick lunch with consistency and good flavor and always fresh - and Thundar always offers to make what you don't see offered. A good selection every time, especially great when you don't have time to wait for a sandwich - happyFor a quick and easy lunch

I love to shop here because the people who work there are so friendly and helpful and they carry unique items I don't see in most other grocery stores. Always something new to try. Love their cheese selections.

Came in today for a fresh made sandwich and I can't tell you which lady made it but it was sooooo good!!! I've been to almost all the sandwich spots around here in the Bay Area and nothing beats how this lady made my sandwich. Absolutely amazing! I'll have to do an update when I go back and get another one so I can make sure I tell you who made it. Wow!!! So good!

The day time manager is incompetently inconsiderate and doesn't care about her clients

I was in San Mateo and I decided to stop at Mollie Stone's for shopping at, I was impressed with the store's overall quality. The produce was fresh, and the store was clean and well-organized. The selection of products was extensive, with a wide variety of specialty items that are hard to find at other grocery stores. The staff was friendly and helpful, and I appreciated their willingness to answer my damn questions. I highly recommend Mollie Stone's.

Best grocery store I've ever visited in the Bay Area. A great selection of products. I was able to find a lot of things that I would have to get from Whole foods with a lower price! The cashiers are friendly. It's at a convenient location with abundant parking. Doesn't close until 9pm. Love this store!

I have stopped in a few times now and I think it's great for certain items. For example they have a good selection of local ice cream (Mariannes, Smitten, Mitchells...) some nice cheeses, Rancho Gordo beans, an array of craft beers and other goodies. Produce looks nice and the butcher area seems well stocked. They're also locally owned so that's a plus for me. I've had apathetic service and I've had great service. Hit or miss like anything else I suppose. It's often not very crowded and the parking is ample. There's also a Starbucks inside for those who are fans. I don't do all my shopping here but I'm definitely a fan for certain things. Check out their weekly ad for complimentary items with purchase as well.

I only come here to buy 1-2 items and the fact that it's a calm experience because the store is hardly ever busy. The prices on most things in the store are exorbitant except the Deli area, and that's not an exaggeration. I would even go as far as saying they outprice Whole Foods with even less quality in some regards. I would strongly recommend choosing from the plethora of other grocery stores in the area. At least the cashiers have always been nice.

Rotten food on the shelves and at deli counter. There are no use by dates on bread and I have bought bread filled with mould. At the meat counter a couple of days ago bought skewered chicken thighs that stank of rancid meat as soon as opened the bag. I wonder if they marinate meat past its date or if it went rotten at the counter? The prices are astronomical; 7 dollars for the mould bread. But if the food was not rotten then I would continue to use the store. Previously complained to management about the bread, and for a few days they had a expiration date sticker, then that was gone. It may be an ongoing (several years) problem with this particular store.

Overpriced. Rotten food on the shelves. Management is virtually non existent. They love to pat themselves on the back on their website. This place is just convenient for the occasional gallon of milk or six pack of beer. And honestly, I've just been going next door to CVS or Walgreens for those things. There are multiple grocery stores (Whole Foods, Trader Joe's, Target, Safeway) within a short distance. Better quality, and even Whole Foods blows this place out of the water on pricing. My partner and I do like to drop in when we get bored to see what kind of rotten food we see. I've personally seen salads that had mold on them and fresh pasta that is moldy. It's become a running joke in our house. If they lowered their RIDICULOUS prices, maybe they would sell more food and not have so much spoiled stuff. But I suspect that some executive who doesn't want to admit they are wrong would never allow it. I can't wait to see this place go out of business. Of course, when that happens, all the executives will give themselves fat severance packages to pay off their 3rd vacation homes while they send their employees to the unemployment line and just blame "the economy" for the massive failure for which they themselves are responsible. I mean, it doesn't take a genius to see the long lines everywhere else that has reasonably priced products while Mollie Stone's is a ghost town with rotten product on the shelf to think that maybe a change is in order.

Thursday 3-10-22 6PM. Stopped to grab dinner from the deli. 1 person, who should have retired 20 years earlier & several impatient passive aggressive customers waiting Meanwhile 20 feet away. A manager and employees standing around doing zero, watching the deli clerk struggle. I asked the manager if someone was around to help the deli person & he said no & walked away. What a moron. The store is dated. There was nobody in the bakery to help. What a sad place. Other Mollie Stones in the Bruno & BGAME aren't like this. I'm sure it's a manager problem.
