I had an amazing experience today at this Mac location. Specifically because of Alisa who did an amazing job on my makeup. I wound up purchasing many of her recommendations. She clearly knows what she’s doing. I’ll be in for a visit every time I’m in the area!

I feel so bad for finally writing this because every time I come to this Mac store (downstairs in Hillsdale) my mom and I are always taken care of!! Jade and Ommi did a full face makeup for me and my mom last weekend and are just EXCEPTIONAL!! From their great attitudes to making us feeling comfortable, welcomed, and leaving CONFIDENT!! We trusted them with our look and they just killed it with the makeup. Seriously skilled and talented. They deserve more than a raise! 10/10 for them both. They helped everyone that came into the store while doing our makeup and still finished quickly. Thank you Jade and Ommi!!!

Excellent experience coming here. The representative who helped us had a positive attitude, was attentive and had a good product knowledge and made us feel happy shopping here. Didn't get her name but she helped us at about 7pm on 6/29/23, thanks Si much for the positive attitude and great service!!

I went to buy just one lipstick, but the attendant didn't bother to kindly offer the sale, I think she was already exhausted from selling lipsticks, lol. May she be encouraged and know that a lipstick for someone who loves Mac is a great acquisition.

An Manager/Assistant Manager from the Mac Hillsdale Mall San Mateo was seen in a trying to start a physical Altercation using Body & Vile language against one of her "Own employees." The incident was so disturbing, that a case file was open at the Corporate office ? in New York City. Sources tells me that the incident started in a Uber pickup and ended in the front yard of a home ? owner. What kind of people is Mac hiring could of been a customer from the store?. What a BAD reflection this Manager could have on the company ? People come to Mac to be pampered and to feel Beautiful and Safe. As an concern customer/Mother ?, do we have to worry about the people who are in positions of trust, comfortability and decisions ? that we now have to be concerned about Managers threatening the Public in a place where one goes to feel BEAUTIFUL ?ReadInfoat 16:19, Apr 20:

Absolute sweetest staff! Alisa and Jade were so fun and hospitable. My mom and I were out shopping today and they were the highlight of our shopping trip. They are both very knowledgeable about Mac and treated us very well. Could not recommend them enough!!

I live close to the Hillsadale mall and frequent this MAC store, and I have always had a good experience. This review is not for the store, but specifically for the extremely poor customer service I experienced this evening with Alisa H. I bought more than 200 dollars worth of merchandise for my mom yesterday, and found out today they they have a 30% off for Mother's Day starting today. I went back to the store and asked if they could apply the discount since I bought it just a day ago. Alisa (the person who assisted me yesterday) was extremely rude and said "that was yesterday, not today". I then asked her to process a return of the items so I could repurchase them, and her response, again in a loud, rude tone was "No, I cannot return this. I will have to throw it all away". I had to pull up MAC's return policy and show her that returns are always accepted even if items are partially used - and these were brand new! MAC is well known for its return policy, and I don't believe Alisa who works there is not aware of it. She reluctantly said she would talk to her manager, spent several minutes on the phone, and then asked me to come back the next day to talk to the store manager. I said I would return the next day, and pointed out that I was not happy with her trying to convince me that I cannot return products. Her response was a terse "Have a good day". There was not even the hint of an apology for her lie or her rudeness. I left the store very unhappy. I just went back and returned all the products. I would rather purchase them at another store or from another more helpful representative at the same store. MAC really needs to train their new representatives because lies, and this kind of rude tone and behavior towards anyone, let alone loyal customers, is unacceptable.

I wouldn't normally rate a cosmetics store in the mall, but I have to say how amazing the service is there because it was above and beyond. I stopped in just to replace my eyebrow pencil (MAC really has the best) and I was curious about lip colors. Jade was the associate who greeted me and she was so kind and helpful. After browsing I asked for some help - I don't know what it is but I can never find the perfect pink nude color for my lip. It's always not quite right. Jade was incredibly patient and beyond helpful - she thoughtfully recommended a few colors and we found the perfect shade (Viva Glam II) and she helped find the right lip liner for me as well. It seems like such a simple thing, but Jade was the reason it was so simple. I could tell she wasn't just trying to sell product - she was intent on finding me exactly what I was looking for and that complemented me best. Can't recommend Jade enough!!

First off let me just start by saying "Amazing" isn't even a good enough word to describe my experience with Jade. I went in after many failed experiences at Ulta and Sephora trying to get foundation and other makeup color matched to my skin to make it look as natural as possible. Not only did I get just that, I was not pushed into buying other things, she was as friendly as can be and really listened to what I did and didn't like for my face and she nailed it right away. She has an amazing personality and knows exactly what the customers want! 10 stars for Jade herself! She even signed me up for their loyalty program and I saved 15%! Couldn't be happier and I am now officially a MAC LOVER!!

They were about to close but they still helped me and my daughter. I was able to get the shade of lipstick also the right powder. My daughter got what she needed as well. They were very friendly they did so as if we were the first customers, we greatly appreciated that.
