Mathnasium of Laurelwood is a math-only learning center in San Mateo for K-12 students. The center is clean and inviting. Using a proven teaching approach and tailored learning plans, their specially trained tutors provide personalized mathematics tutoring and homework help to students of all skill levels, both in-center and online. The instructors are incredibly patient, knowledgeable, and skilled at explaining math concepts in a way that really clicks. They are always very friendly and helpful. The staff and management have been exceptional and wonderful. The center has fostered a fun, supportive environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and practicing skills until they master them. Students are very motivated by the reward system and look forward to attending their sessions, eager to work on math and accumulate prizes. With regular attendance, students report improved performance. Their confidence increases dramatically, and they feel more confident about math. Grades and test scores improve dramatically. Parents are happy with the experience and highly recommend Mathnasium, especially the Laurelwood location.

My first-grade son enjoys these classes and it’s really helped. The teachers are engaging and it’s not uncomfortably intense. Strikes a good balance.
