Was standing in line waiting for a cashier then several pick up order customers came in after I had been waiting in line. The cashier decided to go help all those customers first. Whatever happened to first come first serve

This is located in the Bridgepointe Shopping Center so there is plenty of parking, I always do an online curbside pick up at this location. They 90% of the time have the kibble and treats that I get for my dog which is great since I experience stock issues at other Petco locations. I call and park out front and the staff brings my order out and places it in my trunk. I also love that they provide a discount online with this option. I would recommend this location.

The customer service at this location is terrible. One employee in particular is overly aggressive at check-out and has no social skills whatsoever. Never burden the customer with questions about why they do not have a Petco membership. Just accept it and move on; get the customer out the door. Most recently, there were no employees at the front at all to ring me up. I left the products at the front and walked out; I will not return again. Just buy products on Chewy and save yourself the trouble.

Store was very clean and well maintained, the staff was super friendly, and it was very easy for me to find what I was looking for.

Do yourself a favor and don’t even think of taking your pet to this store.I just moved to this area from San Diego California, and I have been taking my dog to Vetco and to Petco grooming for over 4 years.I have never ever had a problem with Petco grooming except this store.I have scheduled the appointment and was waiting for 16 days. And when the time comes, I took some time off from my work and I drove there. The stylist name is Vincenzo M, I’m not sure if he was the same guy I met with or someone else.To make the story short, before getting my dog inside, he was petting her, and she was laying down for him to pet her. He was even able to touch all her paws and she wasn’t against it. All of sudden, he lied to my face saying that she showed teeth and he can’t take her in (she is a border collie)I told him, I’m literally standing here next to you and she didn’t show any teeth, he said I’m not comfortable to take her in, maybe she is not used to grooming (keep in mind in his systems it says how many Petco grooming she was into, including last month)He didn’t apologize for my wasted time, all his word was I’m not gonna take her in.There was another customer behind me and she told me I’m walking out too, I don’t trust them after what I saw, and she walked out as well.I already filed an official complaint against him with the corporate because he was the rudest person I have ever dealt with for over 4 years in many states with Petco. He could’ve just said, I’m lazy today, I don’t feel working, and apologized for wasting my time. I would’ve appreciated his honesty and left to a different store with no complaint.

It was not a good customer experience. The order wasn't ready over an hour after it was placed online. The chair said I was welcome to get it myself so I did. While looking for the items, an employee directed me to the location. I searched for about 10 minutes and only found one of the items. I found the same employee and he searched also. He indicated there should have been 3 items left in inventory. We couldn't find any of them. After 25-minutes in the store shopping for items which should have been ready for me, I bought another product and left. This is not the first time for this type of interaction. Why is there a discrepancy between the web inventory and store inventory? Why wasn't my order fulfilled prior to my arrival? All fixable issues but my time is with something. If PETCO can't give me a good or even satisfactory experience, it may not be worth my money.I've already shared my repeat experience from yesterday with a couple pet owners, now Google can share it. Can PETCO afford this type of negative publicity?

I have either Laura or Vincenzo take care of my little chihuahua for regular nail clippings. They are always friendly, warm and help as he is very nervous. His nails are clipped well and I can see both love animals a great deal.

Got there 30 minutes San Mateo early checked in then after I came back again, they said they couldn’t groom dogs because mats which was an excuse because brushed out almost every day before in a different location I never have this problem to cancel on the spot they kind of made a big deal about why she couldn’t grow him. It was embarrassing and upsetting. Because not true also I drove 30 minutes for that horrible service.

This store is a mess. Their is absolutely no friendly customer service. I ran in to buy some cat food. one line, one cashier. I greeted her and asked her how her day was going, and didn't receive a response. Long story short; I let the cashier know that the cat food price on the shelf tag was a much different amount than what she rang me up. "It's $28.99 + tax so it's $32.36" as I'd responded with "I understand that, but the price on the shelf said $20.99, so you'd probably want someone to take a look at that and fix it. Her response "the tags aren't always right. and it's really not that big of a deal!" taken back by her attitude; I responded with "Yeah it's not that big of a deal to you, but it is a $10 dollar difference for me..." She had the audacity to come at me with "You're rude..." Um no I'm the customer and you're being rude and unprofessional!" She says "You're rude, leave! Get out of my store and don't come back!!!"I am floored as to this outburst and just flat out rudeness. It is so mindboggling to me. I didn't raise my voice, nor was I being rude.Beware! Not a great store all around.

So I've been taking my baby here for a while, using a specific groomer because the other available groomers seem to be random employees with little to no experience. Our usual lady has always had a fun rapport with us & although scared our VERY sweet, friendly and calm boy seems comfortable enough with her and in the past she has done a fairly good job on him (Shih Tzu). The last couple times haven't been great. We've noticed nicks here & there, increased mood change upon arrival and sometimes you can tell that either a different person cut his hair or she just really didn't GAF. In fact, I didn't want to bring her our business anymore but had no other choice due other circumstances so my baby has been getting the "home style" haircut for the last couple of months, lol. I clearly am no professional but it is sometimes easier to drop him off & pick him up later all bathed & groomed. I take him in to his appointment, usual banter between the groomer and me and her manager was there as well as a young man very focused on his phone. We discuss the usual and I head out with honestly, a heavy heart because my usually VERY sweet & happy boy gets very still and clings on to me for dear life as we approach the store. I always assumed it was because they crate the animals when they're not working on them and my baby has never been crated but I still took notice of his shy and skittish behavior as I hand him over. I leave and try not to think about it as I have errands to run. About 15-20min later I receive a call from the manager letting me know they are unable to bathe him and give him all the usual treatments because they alleged he has sap on his paw and severe matting so "they can't work on him." Initially I was surprised as he is a "townhouse" dog meaning he rarely goes out in areas with sap trees, sticking more to pathways and sidewalks and he NEVER has matting as I usually bathe and brush him in between appointments. I express my confusion and am told again that they don't service dogs with in that state. I ask then if he's ready and let her know that I'm irritated by this news but I am on my way back. Once I arrive they have my baby on the countertop already and I immediately look at my baby and see that she has already cut his hair so I reach for him and again he grabs on to me for dear life and I wonder what they do to him to make him so scared! He is NOT that dog! He usually holds court and everyone he meets love him! So she's going on and on about their policy and how he has such severe sap and matting that I will need to take him to a vet to have his paw trimmed and I'm looking everywhere for said horrific and medical-attention-requiring-work and yes, he has what looked like a black paw lol, I reiterate that he has never been in areas where sap is present and point out that what's on his foot is either mud or poop! Now she and the manager are waiting to say their piece and she does so by informing me that "as a stylist she has the right to decide when to groom or not & by MY reaction to THEIR judgement she will no longer be grooming my baby in the future as well." I chuckled to myself and let her know that she needn't worry as I wouldn't be bringing him back and in fact- I never wanted to use her services again to being with because the last couple times she did a shitty job on him. She thanked me sarcastically and I walked out.

I was just in Petco, and I was appalled by the conditions of the reptile section. The bearded dragon tank was covered in feces. The two bearded dragons were emaciated and literally starving to death. I questioned the staff and they said that the animals had not been fed in a week. Reptiles at this size need to be fed multiple times a day. This is animal abuse at its worst. In the tank next to them were leopard geckos whose tank was also covered in their own feces and starving. I demanded that somebody feed them and did not leave until they did. I can't believe the greed of Petco. Why do you sell animals when they cannot be cared for. Please stop selling reptiles and other small animals. You lost a lifetime customer.
