I just love this place so much! My older one went there for many years and now we are back with our little one again. He loves his dance class so much! Owners Jana and Carlos are genuinely kind wonderful people! No wonder they hire people like them. The teachers are very talented and nice, they all know how to work with kids. Small Fry Dance club is such positive energy filled place. Thank you!

My daughter has been attending Small Fry Dance Club for a month now. I would recommend the toddler classes to a friend! My daughter has a blast dancing and being goofy. She's a very timid kid who's normally very clingy to me. Since her first session she felt comfortable and ready to participate and looks forward to going back each week. She's 3.5 for reference. I do have two cons: The first: parking. It's not really within their control and there are options. The small parking lot and garage are very narrow but not a deal breaker. We prefer to park on El Camino (which has its own challenges with how busy the road is). It's close to HWY 92 which is a plus for us. The second: there are huge windows to watch your child dance/participate yet parents grab chairs and pull it up to directly in front of the glass which makes it harder for everyone else to watch. And those same parents that put their chair against the glass (blocking everyone else's view) end up on their phone not even watching. I wish the school would put up a sign and remind parents to sit further away so everyone can watch.

My daughter has been taking class here starting at 3 years old. She has been introduced to tap, hip hop, and ballet since coming for about a year and a half. It's a nice way to introduce different styles of dance to younger kiddos before committing to a specific style of dance. They do two recitals a year - one in December and one in June. I will say, this is definitely not a conventional dance class. It's more play, movement with props and toys. But my toddler LOVES it. I plan to keep her in Small Fry until she turns 5. I will then transition her to PCPA, which is the sister program to Small Fry for older kids.

A great place to learn to dance. Here you can find the most professional coaches and cozy atmosphere.

My daughter had been attending a music class since she was a baby. When she started being able to walk I knew I also needed to enroll her in a dance class. I enrolled her in the 18m dance class. She loved it. Not initially because she was a pandemic baby and not used to people BUT within a couple weeks, she made friends with "Teacher Jana" and the other kids in the class. We even scheduled play dates with the other kids outside of the dance class. And Teacher Jana was one of her regular prayer requests at night. Just randomly brining her up because she left an impression on her. Love Small fry dance so much!

My daughter took her first ballet class at Park & Rec when she was 2. She enjoyed dance so much that I started looking for a more permanent dance school. My coworker recommended Small Fry Dance Club (PCPA for the littles). She started in their Music & Movement program which incorporated tap, jazz, and ballet. Within 3 years, she was ready to graduate to the big kids' program. 6 years later, we are still at PCPA. This studio has given my daughter so much confidence and helps her to continue blossom into an outstanding performer. She, like many of her dance friends, has a full dance schedule, dancing almost every day of the week. She is has been in their Musical Theater comp team for the last 3 years and is preparing to add 3 more teams to her schedule. They have won numerous awards and the teams are always supportive of each other. Jana, Carlos, and their team and school are wonderful!

My 3 y/o has been attending Small Fry for about a year. She loves the school, the classes, and most importantly, the teachers. The teachers and owners are really passionate about what they do, and you can see it in the bi-annual performances and the way they interact with the kids. I cannot say enough about Small Fry. Highly recommend if you're looking to get your little one into dance or even socialization!

My daughter started a few years ago at Small fry dance, it was the best decision for us to get her in this school, the instructors there are dedicated to help every dancer to feel welcome, to do their best, and to encourage them in a positive way. The ambiance is friendly. I totally recommend this studio everyone is welcome. My daughter is now in a competitive team at PCPA.

Stay away! I agree with the other multiple reviewers, the owner Jana is rude and unprofessional. She scolded us for coming in and renewing our CC. In fact, her own staff gave us instructions to do so otherwise they will prevent my little girl to attend the class. It is quite petty to pull a little girl out of a class for $20. Jana has zero clue about customer service and treating customers right. My little girl liked the instructor and the classes but dealing with Jana made it impossible for us to continue!! I would recommend staying away!!

PCPA is an amazing dance studio that accepted my daughter as a person who liked to dance and transformed her into a beautiful confident dancer who LOVES to perform & compete. The owners, Jana & Carlos, are kind, approachable yet very professional. I've seen all the improvements they made in the past 4 years and the growing number of students is a testament to the kind of Family, Community, Professional Dance studio that's a precious gem for all of us who have found it.

Reasons why we attended for almost a year and then left: a) They have a membership (subscription) model but then they take frequent time off which effectively increases the cost of classes since there are fewer remaining ones in that month b) They don't always give reasonable notice before they take time off. Sometimes we get notice a few days before the time off, so our weekend planning is disrupted (if we got more notice, we'd plan a play date or other activity instead) hey don't always give reasonable notice before they take time off, either d) They drastically reduced their make-up policy so no more than one missed class can be "banked" every three months c) They raised fees this year, which normally would not be an issue, but see a) - c) above These factors, combined with the fact that our favorite teacher left in July, led us to cancel our membership. We didn't feel that they valued their clients, or that they cared about anything other than money. The quality of instruction and facilities are fine, but the customer experience is what makes or breaks the relationship. On this, Small Fry didn't deliver.

My older child has been a student with this school for many years, and before the school was so big. My experience when she was little was very positive, at Small Fry, and that is what made me bring her back after they began the "big kid" programs. The reason I liked the school when she was young is that the performance/recital pressure is the least I've EVER seen in any dance school anywhere. I feel that the philosophy resonates with what child development is all about, which is growth. Even if your child is not bound for Broadway, this school will find a place (and buddies) for her. My child happens to be a little introverted, and she loves having this dance school, full of supportive and kind teachers, as a reliable and safe environment for her to grow as a dancer at her pace. Now that the school is very large, the recitals remain optional, and again, even if your child isn't on a team or a star, they will make sure he or she feels included and excels within his or her capacity and work with your child to help reach their personal goals.

We love Small Fry! My daughter is 20 months old and has been in the Music & Movement class for a couple of months now. It took her a few weeks to warm up but Teacher Lizzy has been so engaging and patient with her and all the kids. All the families we've met have been friendly and welcoming and it's so fun to see the older kids in their dance gear and tap shoes. My daughter is having a blast and I see us being there for many years to come.
