dropped off a machine a few years ago, with a $300 deposit. Zero outreach from them. called after 9 months, then again after 15 (and got yelled at for interrupting his work.) I chose them over a repair shop I would have sent my machine to that honestly admitted it would take a year ... completely with wish I had gone with them ... perhaps would have seen my machine again.

The business in San Mateo is now closed, I stopped by today and was surprised to see the windows covered with paper.

I just received my replacement part in no time at all. It was exactly what I needed. Steve is very knowledgeable and helpful in helping me figure out what I needed.

Do not take a slot machine here for repair. The guy is a total crook. After a $300 deposit, 3 months and 12 phone calls to see if it's ready low and behold it's done. For only another $2,000.00. No estimate no nothing. Total scam. Do yourself a favor and never set foot in this shop.

Our 1940's Jennings nickel slot machine needed a lot of work. Purchased from Squires and Corrie years ago. Steve gave it a great overhaul and it's working like new again after many years of use by kids and grandkids. No one more knowledgeable than Steve. He has many clients, and does most all of the work himself. As another reviewer mentioned - be patient - he is a very busy man!! Definitely a "one-man show" with expertise like no one else!

Mr. Squires did a house call for us and brought our 1929 Watling slot machine back to life after many years of dust collecting. Steve is, without a doubt, the local expert in this field (and a lovely man). Thanks so much!

With Nevada in a state of social distancing COVID-19, created the opportunity to start to back into restoring my collection of antique slot machines. Attempted to contact many of the parts suppliers I dealt with from years ago, "SADLY" many of the old timers were no longer in business. Luckily I found 'Squires & Corrie Slot Machines' website www.squiresandcorrie.com. When I contacted Steve Squires my dream of finding 80 & 90 year old repair parts thrilled me. Steve's inventory is fabulous and personal attention outstanding. Make Squires & Corrie Slot Machine your first choice because you won't be disappointed.

I had the pleasure of visiting their San Mateo store a few years back. The owner took me on a full tour of their building, which was deceptively large due to only seeing the small 'store front' when I walked in. Room after room of every kind of slot machine and parts you could think of. It was amazing! I learned a lot from talking to the owner who pretty much knew the in's and out's of just about every antique/vintage machine there is. These guys know their stuff and they have the inventory to make quality repairs or replace parts for your machine. If you're into vintage/antique slots, check this place out. It's as much a museum as it is a store!!

Squires & Corrie Slot Machines. I was in desperate need of a slot machine part and I do not live in California. I found out that Steve was happy to send the part out to me and he knows the lot about machine business, knows parts inside and out. The Old Timers are gone or closed down. I learned that Squires & Corrie is now a mail order business, because of the Pandemic. I am pleased with Mr. Squires knowledge and expertise. I am very pleased with Squires & Corrie Slot Machines and the service I Received . When I need a Slot machine or part, I found that since there are very few slot machine parts left I always receive a quality part from a knowledgeable person of Slot Machines. I called Steve at 1-800 343-6737 My machine would be not working if it were not for finding the part with Squires & Corrie Slot Machines. Steve, Thank you. Tom. a customer over the year's, may the Pandemic end, so this store may open, so we can enter and look, once again.

Steve Squires is a very intelligent man with many years of experience, he is a pleasure to do business with. I had a technical question for him and he was open, honest and thorough. He is one of the last experts in the repair and restoration of slot machines.

I only give 5 stars for those who operate above and beyond the call of duty. Not only does Steve run a tight ship here, he has decades and decades of experience and expertise. My slot machine is an heirloom I played as a child. It hadn't worked in 25 years but Steve had it up and running like new. He even made a house-call to fine tune the payout. In addition he gave me tips for keeping it in top shape. Needless to say I am very satisfied with Steve and his business Squires and Corrie Slot Machines. Thanks Steve!

I had an old nickel slot machine that my uncle bought in San Francisco back in the 1940s. I remember playing with it when I was a kid and finally was able to talk my uncle into giving it to me around the late 1960s. Then life intervened and the machine sat unused for decades in the garage. I finally took it to Steve for a renovation. I picked it up a few months ago: new gleaming chrome, new glass, new parts inside and it works great. My 11 month old grandson thinks its his favorite thing in our house. Steve is a slot machine wizard; he knows all the parts and the history of the machines..who knew I had a "1932 Mills Skyscraper". You will have to be patient, his work takes a while to get done but the final product will be worth it. Even after I got the machine back, there was a little problem with one of the payouts. I took it back and he fixed it with no charge in an hour or so. So I recommend Steve highly and a visit to his store to see all the slot machines and the thousands of small parts stacked high to the ceiling is worth your time. There is no place like Squires and Corrie; it's almost a national treasure.
