Looks like there's been mixed reviews about the staff for this lovely venue. Our experience for our luncheon wasn't bad at all. We were greeted at the entrance and even some members walking by greeted us. Driving up from the gate the main building and parking is to the left. The Beresford Room is to the left and the Ballroom is to the right. Our event was in the Beresford Room. It was a nice sunny day so the dining room was nice and bright. The bar was smack dab in the middle of the room so it separated the small dance floor and dining area. Since this is a club there is a dress code policy. If you are attending a wedding you're already covered but if it's just a luncheon event the host should definitely remind their guests to dress appropriately.

Great golf course, tennis courts and activities for families. Nice, friendly, unpretentious people. Experienced professional management staff. A place to have fun and make lasting friendships.

Great club in every respect. Good golf course, fair to the duffer and challenging to better players. Several very nice tennis courts with a separate tennis membership for those not interested in golf. Very good club for children with golf and tennis clinics available as well as a terrific swim team

I went to get some information about the activies provided with the distance restrictions. The first thing they mentioned three times was there's outdoor food service for "Members Only! She mentioned it three times for Members Only. I'm a caregiver with a degree in Gerontology, I'm always looking for good programs for my clients. The Lady I take care of two days per week it's been a memener of that club for many years. Her husband and her used to use the facilities all the time. But he passed away and she would only go for lunch sometimes. This is the second time this happens. I called some time ago,, Anita answered and she asked if I was a member, I said yes, given the fact I was calling on behalf of a member, she said, "No you're not" I asked her how would she know if I was a member or not, she then asked for the name, I gave her the name of the lady I take care of. She knew right away who the lady was. PREJUDICE at it's BEST! I don't have the means to be a member of such a Exclusive and Prestigious Club, but I know nobody should be treated like that, on a simple call. Today my experience was in person. Not a good experience at all!

Always a lovely place to have a gathering. Filet mignon was excellent, though dessert was uninspired.

Peninsula Golf & country club is a good place for family reunion, wedding, party or any group gathering. most of the time is sunny here and beautiful. I have golfed here with friends multiple times and it was always a great experience. They have buffet in holidays, the food is ok.The setting in dinning room is kind of classy and old fashion with a beautiful ground view. It is a traditional country club.In general it is a nice place to hangout for members located in san mateo since we don't have many other options.

Nice facility. The staff doesn't speak english well, which puts it behind facilities in foreign countries. Weird, right. Maybe they were just being rude and didn't want to be helpful. 2 stars.
