The Post Office removed the drop boxes for pedestrians to use. Now, to send mail, I have to stand in the street to use the drive through post box. What kind of regressive policy is this?!

I walked to the post office with my baby in a stroller. The handicap ramp is in the back of the building. You have to ring a bell for service. I rang it a few times until a mail carrier stopped by and asked if I needed help. He asked the clerk if they could help me and told me they said I had to go through the front even though I have a stroller or come back later. I couldn't believe it and didn't want to return later so I pulled my stroller with my baby up the steps. Someone who was pregnant by the way helped me down the steps after I sent my package. I will file a formal complaint with USPS.

Worst customer service I've experienced from USPS. The indian lady of usps can not read even the alphabet. She deliberately threw my package and asked me a strange question, accusing me of taking a photo of her. Her service is not only slow, but she also seems to have issues with every customer — this is a serious problem.

I have been a customer here for at least 5 years. It is an excellent location, lots of street parking, very friendly staff and outstanding service. The lobby is always very clean and a very nice. I would not go anywhere else as they always take care of me.

Nice centrally located post office in downtown San Mateo. Building has a historical feel to it, and the staff is knowledgeable and efficient. There’s usually a line and it moves slowly, but mostly due to the indecisive customers and people cutting back in line after completing their shipping forms. Street parking can be difficult to find.

Paramjit is awesome - and her coworkers, too! Don’t know what everybody else’s problem is, but they’re polite, courteous and they do the best they can! This is my go to place lots of parking, what more could you ask for?

This is one of the better post offices I have visited. Staff is courteous, knowledgeable, and very helpful. I will definitely visit again.

I would’ve give it a zero if there’s an option for that. Super rude Indian lady who seemed not be able to listen to the customer finishing their sentences. She literally asked me to go to UPS when I already have a USPS label. Unbelievable!!!

Had a really nice experience at this post office.The staff Khin was super friendly and helpful. It’s my first experience at this post office since moving to San Mateo. Am really glad that the staff here is so awesome.

Avoid this post office at all cost. There's a middle aged woman that works here and her name starts with a P- worse service ever. She should be fired for incompetent and rudeness !

I do recommend post office, ellesworth post office in San Mateo, California 94401. They're awesome.
