I had a terrible experience at the photo section. The manager, Erika, does not seem qualified to be in that position. In my opinion, she acts as if she can do whatever she wants simply because she is the manager. There are so many one star here for a reason.

I've been with Walgreens for many years...until I moved here and had my Rx handled with this Walgreens. ABSOLUTELY THE WORST I've ever experienced in all my years. No one ever answers the phone and if they do, they immediately put you back on hold repeatedly until you give up and hang up. I always had to drive over and go in person just to ask any question. Want your meds on time? Nope, don't even think it because you won't get it here. Their staff is rude and incompetent and can't seem to do their jobs. They also like to close the pharmacy for extended periods of time even when they should be open. Absolutely ridiculous and shameful! I've transferred to CVS where at least I know I'll get my much needed medication and the staff is always great and greet me by first name before I even make it to the window.

I called the pharmacy to check if my prescription has arrived, the male pharmacist who picked up the call has really bad attitude and no patience at all while I’m being very polite.

Customer service is non-existent here. The workers on the main floor did not seem to undergo any training on how to properly speak with customers or handle routine tasks. Always an unpleasant experience.

This review is strictly for the photo/FedEx department. There is never anyone here so don't expect any service Im in here today to simply drop off a FedEx package. The worker is at the front register talking to the other cashier. After 5 mins or so I ask for help and she tells me to wait and mumbles to the other cashier "they need to be patient". (She's just talking to her coworker) fine whatever I'm not in a hurry. I wait another 5-6 minutes or so. She comes over to the photos and tells me that she can't take my return. She has no tape and the scanner is broken. She could have told me this when I went to the front counter (I had the package with me!!). So yeah. Pharmacy is pretty quick. Check out is quick too since NO ONE COME HERE. But I would avoid coming here for any FedEx drop offs or photos.

Came in to pick up a few things but had trouble deciding. At 10:03pm I was told that the store is closed, the registers are rebooting and I was trespassing and had to leave.

This particular Walgreens doesn't seem to have anybody working in it. While I go to the downtown San Mateo Walgreens for stellar pharmacy & customer service (Kevin the pharmacist & the Indian man who is the store manager who is always pleasant & attentive), I'd rather come to this Walgreens because it seems better stocked, cleaner, and has much short, less chaotic lines than the downtown San Mateo branch. The only people that seem to be working here are great. The cosmetics counter ladies are helpful and always available to answer any questions and/or check you out. The frontline cashier(s) usually there is only one, but "I see 3" and a second one will pop up, are a bit slow but at least they are friendly and polite. I think that all Walgreen cashiers need to be more aware of their products, their prices, their sales, and how to crossover between advertised/app/online prices and people buying in store. None of them seem to know how to navigate between online and in-person. But like I said, they get a point from me for at least being nice and at least they try (oftentimes, futilely). I believe that this is a corporate-level problem and that the training should come during the hiring process and enforced by the store manager. The rest of the store really seems like a ghost town. Everything valuable is locked up (toothpaste, over the counter meds, batteries, certain hair care products, vitamins, etc), but when you look for someone to unlock it for you, you literally have to spend 10 minutes walking around the store hunting for an associate. Usually, there is not one to be found, so the default goes to asking the cashier or cosmetics counter (who will then ping someone over the intercom), but they are really ssssslllllooooowwwww to even respond to that. The parking lot is terrible and the parking spaces are poorly designed. Getting in/out from the ECR is a PIA too, no direct avenues to get in or out of this lot. The rest of the store is clean, well-stocked, organized, and easy to shop. +1 for cashiers, +1 for cosmetics counter. I don't use the pharmacy here, so I cannot rate that area. But while the downtown San Mateo or downtown Burlingame Walgreens seem to have enough employees, this particular branch seems to operate on about 2-3 at any given time. Good store, but getting in here, finding someone to unlock or find products for you, finding a well-trained cashier to help you get the correct price, and then simply trying to navigate out of the parking lot to leave, makes this Walgreens branch a particularly poor overall experience. The neighborhood around this one is nicer, so the overall store is less chaotic than the downtown one, but the customer service experience here is very lonely and missing. Good store though, it would be better if staffed more as well as trained across the platform.

They really need to improve their pharmacy service. They are slow and even when messages of prescriptions being ready are sent they don't have it ready for pick up. I have had to wait additional time after receiving text messages. The store otherwise is average.

On the plus side, there is a large parking lot. So as much easier to park than at the location downtown. Otherwise it's just a normal Walgreen's. The staff is friendly and they try to be helpful. Sometimes it does seem like the pharmacy is a little slow but that may just be my own impatience.

Worst pharmacy I've ever been to. Incompetent overworked rude staff. Nothing is ever ready when it's suppose to be and they always make mistakes with insurance and refills. Moving to a new pharmacy.

Don't get any photo service from this walgreens store. They don't provide you the digital copy of the photo and you are required to have flash drive which charge extra money(6 dollars). Worst ever camera, you can capture good quality photos by your phone camera rather by camera in their photo service area.

On the phone on hold for *30 minutes* in the middle of the work day, still have not been able to reach the pharmacist. Is this location operated by ghosts? Unacceptable.

Shoutout to Andreas at the register! I came in tonight, and it was my first time trying out Walgreens coupons. Thankfully the store was empty so I didn't feel the pressure of a long line and trying out coupons which I know can be tedious. Andreas was super helpful and guiding me through the process, and trying out each coupon with me to see which ones would work and which ones didn't since it was my first time doing this. I was a bit nervous, but he did not make me feel guilty for taking up so much time. Very grateful, thank you!:)

I made an appointment for the COVID-19 vaccine at 2:15, but they were at lunchtime by 2:45, so we had lunch at Cuvana Kitchen.According to the register, if I make the appointment for the vaccine, I can go to the pharmacy any time on that day.I got the COVID-19 vaccine at Wallgreens. Thanks for the white house bridge project for free. The original price is $188, so Getting it when someone doesn’t have insurance would be beneficial. We forgot the CDC vaccine record, but the pharmacists gave me a new vaccine record to add the information to the CLEAR app after returning home. Usually, I feel mildly sick after getting the vaccine, but this time, I only have a headache.
