“I was looking for some pork neck bones and feet for soup- this place delivered. It’s clean, fresh, and there’s a good selection. I wasn’t expecting a full service butcher of this quality inside an unassuming convenience store! Will be back.”

“This store is truly a neighborhood gem, and I truly underestimated it's broad selections . From the door entrance I was greeted, and offered a bag for persimmons. I purchased fresh persimmons & walnuts today. Then as I perused the store came up on a lovely well stocked meat counter. I purchased a nice thick chuck roast...cut to my desire. Perfect 1:1 assistance by the butcher. Thank you employees . Your services to me as a customer was a GCS10GOOD CUSTOMER SERVICE 10/10.By the way...I sliced a few pieces off that chuck roast and pulled out the black frying pan...salt and peppered little olive oil( since there's no crisco) and sizzled it quickly...rare...omg that meat had the best flavor out of any meats I've purchased in the bay area!!! 10MG mmmmmmmmmmgood”

“I’ve had the pleasure of attending the Meat Carnival three times now (Livermore in 2023, and Mare Island in 2024 and 2026), and it is consistently an amazing experience. In my book, it easily surpasses a Michelin-star restaurant!
Here is what makes this event so special:
• Unmatched Quality: They serve the absolute best, highest-quality meats and fish. You can truly taste the multiple days of prep work that go into the menu before the guests even arrive.
• Incredible Hospitality: The owner, Canyon, and the chefs go above and beyond to personalize the experience. They actively get the crowd involved and make everyone feel welcome.
• Culinary Education: It’s fascinating to hear the chefs explain the culinary aspects of the meal. Learning about the specific spice blends and the days of careful preparation makes the dining experience so much more interesting.
• The Vibe: I love the energy from each chef, they go out of their way to make it special and speak with everyone about the dishes they have.
My only note is for the guests: bring some energy and get loud! The chefs put on a great show, and the crowd should match that excitement and contribute back!
I genuinely hope they expand to other cities across the United States. I cannot wait for my next Meat Carnival experience!”

“Yesterday I went to that very nice place around 5 p.m. The employees are very friendly; I interacted with two of them, and they were both very kind. I asked one of them to give me the freshest liver they had, and he did. They do a great job at that butcher shop. I've been going there for years, but lately it's changed, and they seem to care more about their customers' opinions.”
