“Mid Century Møbler is a gem! Julian and Desirée are knowledgeable, kind, and clearly love what they do. The showroom is beautifully curated with great value, and the whole experience—from purchase to delivery—was smooth and enjoyable. They went above and beyond refinishing our Nils Jonsson “Florence” credenza, and even personally delivered a component to our home. The piece is gorgeous, but it’s their service and care that really stood out. Highly recommend!”
“I stumbled upon this shop while walking around Albany and was immediately drawn in by the Tagalog sign out front. The owner, Dom, greeted us warmly and invited us inside—even though it was past closing—which already says so much about the spirit of this place.
The moment I stepped in, I felt a sense of connection and calm. The space feels like a sanctuary—thoughtfully arranged, full of warmth, and deeply welcoming—with traces of Dom’s anitos and pamilya. The plant selection is incredible, with rare varieties, pet-friendly sections, and beautifully curated displays. The repotting space shows a commitment and mindfulness towards the customer and living plant being. (I only wish I could bring some of them back to Tucson!) Dom’s bunnies were the sweetest surprise, too.
Most of all, Dom herself makes the shop what it is. Her kindness and heart are felt in every corner. This is more than a plant shop—it’s a space of care, community, and joy.
If you’re in Albany, don’t miss it. Truly a gem.”

“I have bought a number of Sobu pieces over the years (couch, side table, pendant light, and most recently dining chairs) and adore all of them! While the staff have always been very helpful, I live a little further away now so tend to just order online because I know which pieces I want and their delivery has been speedy and fantastic. Their pieces are incredibly well-made and beautiful and are quietly rugged enough for daily use without showing barely any wear, and strike the balance I love between modern and nostalgic. It's amazing to find a local store that's my go-to for nearly all furniture and homeware I'm looking for, with the added bonus of avoiding big box retailers!”

I called the store, and Anna helped me to find what I was looking for, and set the bowls aside. “A lovely and well curated little shop in Albany. Just steps from Solano Ave but easy to miss on a side street, this place is a delight. They have ceramics, incense, jewelry, perfumes, body wash, cards, small gifts. I think I saw granola, olive oil and a few cookbooks. They also have a good selection of gently used clothes, shoes, and bags. Kind people behind the counter. Just a wonderful place all round. I hope this store stays for a long time to come!”

What is nice is you can spend a lot of money on fancy tiles but they also have excellent deals on more modest (but still gorgeous) tiles.
