I bought some plumbing supplies here today for a job that needed to get done. The front office staff was very knowledgeable and helpful (Dave and another gentleman). I ended up not using some of the parts, so I had to return them. I got there at 3:30 to do the return, as soon as I walked in to start the return, I realized I locked my keys in the car. Dave thought he might be able to assist me, but realized he might damage my seal, so I called a locksmith, but he was 30-40 minutes out, and the store was closing! Dave said it was ok, and that we could wait out front (my car was parked inside behind the gate). The locksmith was in and out, and about 4:30 / 4:45 Dave could finally go home. Thank you, Dave, for your help, understanding, and assistance. Your employees are a reflection of your business. Keep up the excellent work and customer service.

This was our go-to place before they changed things. Now it's more convenient to order through Amazon and the prices are better there too. It's too bad, because we liked supporting a local business.

We remodeled the bathrooms and came to Rubensteins for the hardware. The local neighborhood place has it all in the remodeling your home department. Been coming here for years for screws, hardware, and tools... Everything. Better than the big box orange store ??????.

I called to find out if they had a part in stock. Spoke with Dave who said he didn't but suggested a different but similar part. Turns out it worked perfectly thus saving me $300.00+ plumbers fee. Other plumbing supply stores didn't even try to go the "extra mile" to find other options. The part he suggested was $6.75 + tax.

Do not use these guys for plumbing questions. My landlord told me to call them when I had a problem with kitchen sink faucet. Don't ask my why my landlord didn't take care of the problem herself, but that's a different issue. Anyway, talked to them, emailed them photos of the cartridge & handle, etc. They said I need a new cartridge & handle. They sent the parts to the wrong location and when we finally got them, they were wrong. What a waste of time. They apparently don't know anything about plumbing.

We have always ordered all our plumbing supplies from the Oakland branch, where George Ybarra, who used to work there and now is based at the San Pablo branch, was a great help to us. When we experienced some issues with a shower, George went above and beyond the call of duty and came to our home multiple times to help address the issue. We were very impressed by George's dedication and kindness. He is a real asset to the company.
