“Be warned before coming here: This place is super small, I wouldn't call it a thrift store but more like a guy who sells used stuff. Don't get me wrong he's quite nice but if you're expecting clothes and vintage stuff don't come. It's mostly used applicances and used electronics. Still worth a visit if you're in the area”

“I'm all for a shop that resells good clothes and they do just that. I came here to drop off a donation of some clothes and they took them. I really appreciated this. I got my ticket and left. It felt good to donate and I will do it again.”

“I would highly recommend coming here! The owner Michael is nice and the store is really clean. All of the clothing was sorted by color and it was very well organized. We liked looking through all the racks, all of the clothes were great quality and there was something there for everyone. The prices were also extremely fair. I will definitely come back the next time I am in Berkeley!”

“The perfect companion to the Turnabout Shop down the street with closely aligned limited hours and very similar selection, organization, and pricing! Friendly service and interesting options; formalwear gets a little pricier than I would like but regular clothes are reasonable. Books and knickknacks galore. Limited menswear selection. Don't miss for your thrifting day in the area!”

“This store is a real asset to El Cerrito. Always nicely arranged and tidy. I noticed that they have an overabundance of outdated clothes that are very colorful. Seems people prefer black, grey and beige these days, so I hope they have an ecological way to dispose of them.”

“DBFL is a wonderful place to shop for quality pre-owned goods. They carry women's, men's and children's apparel, accessories, home goods, toys, books, and a variety of other miscellaneous treasures. I always find the staff friendly and helpful.  It's a very fun place to shop, and best of all, the proceeds support the schools!”

“I just shopped at the Rodeo, California store, and what a surprise! When I walked into the store, there were displays of pillows, picture frames, and many other items artistically arranged. I hadn't seen that on my previous (infrequent) visits. I went to the glassware and dishes racks, and the items were displayed in a very appealing manner. Some were grouped by color, some as sets, others were creatively stacked. There was no jumble or haphazard placement of items. Everything was easy to see and interesting to look at. I learned that Pamela was responsible for managing those racks, and I met her and complimented her on what she is doing. In addition, I found the same kind of care and attention to detail for items displayed on and along the walls. Pamela's work made me feel like a valued Goodwill customer. She assured me that the clothing racks are as well-organized and managed by another employee, whose name I didn't get.”
