South Shores Ace Hardware is a great local hardware shop, a nice little store that supports the community. As a locally owned Ace, it focuses on being the helpful hardware folks, committed to personal service. The customer service is often described as outstanding and off the charts, with friendly, knowledgeable, and great workers who are very welcoming. Employees try their best to make sure customers leave satisfied, going above and beyond to find and order specific products, staying in communication, and assisting over the phone to prevent a wasted trip. The store is clean and organized, allowing customers to get in and out quicker than at a big box store. It features a great BBQ section with high-quality products. However, a noted issue is that the online inventory frequently does not match what is in the store, sometimes showing items in stock when there are zero available, which can be a frustration for shoppers.
Nice little store and love to support local versus the big box. Unfortunately the inventory that it shows online never matches what is in store. The customer service was outstanding and the employees were very knowledgeable. The store was clean and organized. ACE has a great bbq section! I was surprised to see BBQ Pit Masters products sold here as well as high quality lump charcoal and pellets.
