This is my 2nd time going on a cruise out of this port (1st time was in 2017). Was going to park on site; however, at 19.00/day and unsure if parking would be available we decided to take a LYFT to and fr instead. Was pretty straight forward upon entering (just follow the signs) for the drop off area but a tad confusing once dropped off on where to go (we just followed everyone else). Was very easy going through security and then onto the boarding area where there were plenty of employees and no lines to board.

It was a bit confusing trying to get on the ship this afternoon to Go around the world, my AirTags still show our suitcases as sitting in the terminal and not on the ship so we sure hope that isn't not the case..

Not a fan of this terminal. Celebrity Cruise leaves out of here and that ship I'd great for a local Cali trip. No waterside etc as it caters to an older more seasoned crowd but great entertainment, great ship activities, and great food. The buffets are international so plenty to choose from and it's close to the night club.Bad part...when you disembark it's confusing!! Taxi's are in one place and ride share...still can't figure that out. Traffic in there is bad too. Folks warned about leaving your car as no security but there is so much activity with ships coming in and out that I would give it a go. Celebrity is a fun ship!! Especially for a California run that won't do the Carribbean. Don't book any excursions the ship doesn't offer if you go to Cabo!! You have to tender to shore and it is a loooooong process. My one tip. And if you miss Viator will NOT give you your money back. Watch for excursion scams...get concierge class so you can eat at Blu...then ask for the main dining menu. Thank me later!

After the hassle of moving luggage from berth 91 to 93 with no porters to be found. And a long wait in line. There was a required routine scheduled customs check of all staff and crew before guests were allowed to embark. This only happens every few months. Things then proceeded rather smoothly. It was a festive filled party as we sailed out of America's busiest cargo port; 20 straight years running now. And the world's 32nd busiest cruise terminal. Our first time leaving from our home port.Sapphire Princess; destination? 8 ports, 32 days, October 30 - December 1 in the South Pacific. Hilo, Honolulu, American Samoa, Western Samoa, Fiji, Dravuni, Tahiti, and Moorea. Then back to Los Angeles. Kind of a bucket list knockout in one blow!Disembarking went a lot smoother. The first hour for drop off and pickup is free. Check the Los Angeles World Cruise Center website for additional fees if you plan to park and cruise.A celebration cruise of our 42nd anniversary!!!

Another easy boarding on to the Majestic Princess at Berth 51. It is much better to be dropped off from the circular drive. We are on a one-way cruise, so parking isn't an option. There were two ships in Port, but the traffic wasn't bad, and we were dropped off right at the security entrance. Security was quick and low-key, and before we knew it, we were boarding our ship and ordering our first cocktail.

Great cruise for a 5day/4night trip. Catalina was well worth the trip. I wasn’t too impressed with Ensenada. As for the cruise itself, it was smooth sailing. My only comments - 1) The wait time was always a little chaotic. Was not expecting to wait even when dinner time was set. 2) The pool area was too crowded to even enjoy.

I recently went on a RC cruise to Mexico, the cruise was great, but the overall service: parking, security guards, customs, and porters service at the port is so bad, it's almost scary. They leave you wondering how in the hell these people managed to get jobs. There are one or two good workers willing to answer questions, but most are disgusting workers, particularly the security guards directing traffic, they should be fired immediately. And it wasn't my only personal experience, I witnessed several other tourists and visitors experiencing putrid service. And, you know you're in LA when you experience deplorable customer service. Ahhh, back home!---My experience went something like this right at the beginning:Drove up to the drop off zone, early, legally parked. Porter/security guard came up to usPorter 1: "what the hell you want!"Me: "Good morning, I would like to know if I can drop my luggage off now since I'm early? My check in time is until 10:30."Porter 1: "I don't give a fuck, ships come and go, put your luggage there!"Being excited about my trip and being used to customer service here in LA, I decided to ignore his appalling behavior, and asked another porter.Porter 2: "I apologize for his behavior sir, may I help you out?"Me: "no problem, may I drop off my luggage early?"Porter 2: "sure, no problem."Handed over luggage, and gave porter 2 a tip.Went to park, walked over to the ship, crossed the street onto the customs building.Porter 1: "good day sir hope you have a nice trip!" (Stuck out his hand to receive a tip for providing absolutely no service). The audacity.Wtf! I don't need to put up with that type of fatherless, bipolar behavior. Went on my wonderful cruise, that's another review.Arrived back in LA, disembarked, walked over with the rest of the passengers off the ship to the first elevators.Porter 3: (grumbling to himself) "standing here with these muthafuckas pushin' buttons" (he had the excruciating job of pressing the elevator button)Another couple of passengers arriving at the elevator, same ethnicity as porter 3.Porter 3: "hurry yo ass up boy, making me wait for y'all."Other passenger: "you have a good day!"Porter 3: "you have a good day also, boy!"This went back and forth....Again, you know you're in LA when you're dealing with fatherless, bipolar behavior. As paying customers, we don't demand much, but damn! A little comments n decency would go a long way.But yes, this is the type of customer service you should expect at the cruise port in San Pedro.

Very quick and easy in and out. Self parking is $25 a day.

Just returned from a 7 day cruise this morning. Even though the parking lot is gated, police do not do their job to patrol parking lots. We were 1 of 7 cars that were broken into. The police towers in the lot are not occupied. Security for the cruise terminal has no authority for parking. Best bet is to get a ride too and from terminal and leave car at home!
