I came here for my dog's first dental cleaning, and it was a great experience! We were greeted by very friendly staff. When they checked us in, they patiently walked me through the entire process for my dog's visit and answered all of my questions (thank you so much if you're reading this!!). Dr. Wills then came to see my dog for a physical exam. I was kind of weary at first because my dog can get snappy, but he was so gentle with her and she seemed to feel safe with him. He also explained everything there was to expect with her cleaning, which was very informative. Now my dog is back home with pearly whites and recovering well. Super happy with how the staff took such great care of her. Thank you so much for the exceptional service!! Will definitely come back.

My mom took her cat in to get dewormed; $150 later, she left without getting a prescription or the vet deworming her cat. The appointment was specifically for deworming, and everyone was aware of the issue. My mom only caught the problem once she got home and reviewed the receipt. She called the vet to inform them, and they wanted to book another appointment and more money to deworm her cat. We will be trying out Ace Veterinary behind South Shores. I am writing this review because my mom doesn't use Yelp.

We love the Vets here but we also love Kim Kromas, the resident Chiropractor. She has made the most significant improvements on our older dog. His hips were so bad that he could no longer jump on the couch or bed and couldn’t go for walks, until we took him to Kim. In two visits he was back to normal. He is able to do all of those things again and isn’t in pain. He goes for long walks and continues to get his adjustments from Kim every 3 wks. He’s too old for surgery and this was our answer. Kim is a dream come true. Plus our dog loves her.

This "Vet" claims to have knowledge about treating bunnies. PLEASE don't risk your Buns life. Go to Point Vicente if you have a bunny. They are real specialists with Buns, I'll spare you the South Shores experience, I'm thanking God my Bun Bun survived South Shores..

Kim Kromas is the house Chiropractor at South Shores Pet Clinic. She has made profound progress on our older dog. He was too old for surgery and yelped when trying to get in the couch or bed. He was in so much pain until I took him to see Kim. After the first visit he was able to jump on to the couch and bed without pain. He goes for longer walks and pulls at the leash. He's happy and more agile now and we see Kim every 3 wks. Thanks, Dr. Weimer, for offering this service. I would've never known about Pet Chiropractors. She's amazing!

South Shores Vet it just supreme.... I have been taking all of my pets here from the 70's while growing up here and then again, since 2006 since I returned to live here again. The doctors are very knowledgeable, kind with the son of leading Vet Dr. Weimer now adding to the wonderful care they provide. They are very busy and you must have patience and make an appointment, yet emergencies are always handled with care and I have never been turned away. I can not say enough about their excellent care for my animals and the edifying manner in which they treat me.

I've been bringing my pets here for about a little over a year and I absolutely love it, I wish I would've found this place a long time ago. In the past I've taken my pets to other vets where their prices were ridiculously expensive or the veterinarians were a bit rude. I'm glad I found South Shores Pet Clinic. Their prices are reasonable and the staff are all very friendly. I finally found my pets their forever vet!

Just sending a thank you to Dr Weimer for seeing & treating my little Georgie recently. It was so hard not knowing how to relieve his suffering. His mystery sores have healed & he is doing great. Please express my sincere gratitude to Dr Weimer. Thank you also for the kindnesses by all the staff. Dr Weimer at South Shores Veterinary Clinic has been our go-to for decades for all our pets. Highly recommend!

I cannot say enough great things about this vet. They are always extremely busy, but they are quite easy to get ahold of via text messages which just makes things so much easier. I took my kitten to get spayed and that same day we brought her home and she was playing like nothing happened. It's been 2 days now and although she has her cone of shame on she is not bothered at all. Thank you for your help and wonderful prices!

Made me feel uncomfortable , told me to pay at pickup and then asked me to pay upfront. The front desk woman with the wing eyeliner seemed to have an attitude. I arrived on time , people that came in after me was still seen first. Told me one estimate then when i asked for another sheet to have the correct estimate they said they had to check my dog again. Then they asked me was my dog under 20 pounds i said yes and then she asked the nurse was she sure 3 times to make her check like if i was lying. When she check I was correct and then rudely dismissed me.

This was the first vet I have taken my cat to. My cat was very comfortable here, not nervous or scared. The staff are very nice to the pets and owners :)

I am torn and confused and scared!!! I took my Maya in today, 10/10/23 to get spayed. She is almost 2 years old, GS related, 50-60lbs. I dropped her off at 9am, picked her up at 3:15pm. Other than looking very dazed and confused I thought everything was fine. Get back to the hotel room, she's not drinking water. I say, ok, wait.... A few hours pass, she's still not drinking water. Ok, so I wet my finger and just touch the side of her mouth. I'm worried she's thirsty because she's been fasting from the night before. She's still not interested in eating or drinking. So I look at her mouth and pull her lip away and her mouth is shut TIGHTLY! I was like, oh no.... Did they forget something in her mouth??? I've never seen a mouth shut so tightly, I call, obviously they are closed. I call their emergency hospital that they work with, access of South Bay, they tell me there are life threatening appointments we have to see it's going to be 3-4 hours. I call a few other hospitals. I get ahold of VEG, they are an animal hospital in Santa Monica. I tell them my girls mouth is shut tight, she was just spayed a few hours ago. She said, send us pictures and I'll show our veterinarian, I'm waiting so see what happens. Maya doesn't seem to be in distress, but not drinking or eating since midnight the night before and not opening her mouth, I can only imagine she is scared. I'm going to South Shore pet clinic and waiting for them to open and I will update my post once we see what's going on. UPDATE!!! So this was her mouth all day and night after I brought her home. I stayed with her, softly petting her, massaging her jowls. She make a movement with her tongue!! Yes!!!! She slowly started moving her tongue and her mouth. At noon on 10/11/2023 she finally drank some water!!! I'm not sure what happened to lead to her being in the situation where her mouth was so tightly shut/closed. I don't want to assume anything but what comes to mind is possibly maybe taping her mouth shut SO very tightly and unnecessarily that poor thing went into some sort of spasm. I pray that that was not the case but I don't think I'll ever know the truth. I am still keeping an eye on her. I pray no damage has been done due to this situation.
