I have received the best customer service from Barsotti Body & Fender. I had an accident a few weeks ago and Mike helped me through the process every step of the way. He listened to my concerns and helped me know what to expect from my insurance agent as well as the body shop. Mike eased my stress and made sure that I was continually updated. He was my car therapist. I can not thank him enough. Everyone that I communicated with at Barsotti was so professional and knowledgeable. They returned my calls immediately and always kept me in the loop. Thank you Barsotti Body & Fender!!! You are in a class all your own. Ten stars.

I was rear ended and took my Rivian to Barsotti’s. I first interacted with vanessa who was great - she got the car checked in and the process moving. I then worked with Mike through a very long insurance process. The car ended up being totaled and throughout the process until the wrecking company picked up the car, Mike took the time to keep me updated and answer my many questions. If you need body work done, I highly recommend Barsotti’s.

I rarely post reviews online but my experience here warranted a shout out to these guys. Had my vehicle repaired here and they were great. Staff was very courteous and quick to address issues or answer questions. The pricing was also more than reasonable. I've had multiple experiences with various autonomy shops through the years most good, some not so good but these guys were really top notch. Great experience!

Worst experience I have ever had at a body shop. They said it would take 10 days and it took 45 days. In addition, they did a terrible job matching the paint. I would advise everyone to avoid.

Brought my van in to get the door fixed after it was hit by another vehicle. Manny Jimenez did a great job finding the door which was old (95 Dodge) and painting it and pinstriping it. Excellent work excellent people.

I'm a very satisfied customer due to the integrity and honesty of this company, especially an applaud to the wonderful and informative staff, David Ammons and Amber Alley. I had a situation with Farmers insurance (the insurance that represents me) where we had a disagreement and they refuse to pay for the proper procedure to finish the paint on the repair of my car. We provided multiple times for Farmers Insurance to reconsidered along with persuasive evidence. Finally, I ended up paying for the cost difference and went to Small Courts Claim. Both Amber and David showed up and advocated and assisted in winning my case against Farmers insurance. I'm confident that they will take good care of you as well as the best interest of your beloved vehicle.

I was rear-ended and my car needed repair. Kimberly and Daniele were friendly and efficient while checking me in and dealing with communication during the process. Mike was also very diligent and thorough dealing with the insurance company, following up with matters. The body work is perfect. Thank you all! Claudia Florsheim

In this day of dreadful customer service, Barsotti's was just the opposite - how refreshing!! They were delightful to work with, communicative throughout the entire process, went out of the way to help me deal with the insurance companies, and happily shuttled me back and forth. Thank you Odeon, Mike, Daniela, and Kimberly! My car was slammed in a parking lot (with no note from perpetrator) and Barsotti's did a fantastic job fixing the damage. The car looks as good as new. Much appreciation to the crew who worked on my Macan! Overall, a smooth, painless, and good experience - highly recommend!

Do not go here. I'd give 0 stars if I could. They do not communicate and I'm still waiting for my car 2 weeks after I dropped it off for a small paint job. Audi Marin recommended them so I trusted that opinion. October 23: When I dropped my car off they could not give me a time estimate. 5 business days later I had not heard from them so I gave them a call. They still couldn't give me an estimate. The next day I talked with Daniela who promised my car would be done in 2 days. Radio silence until I call them that day for an update. Kimberly mentioned that the estimate was incorrect and they usually take 7-10 business days just to evaluate the work (??!!). It's now been 2 weeks and they don't know when I can have the car back. Kimberly promised to give an update but I don't believe she will call me back.

Update November 6, 2023. Apparently, posting 1 star reviews on Yelp is what it takes to be noticed. I had emails and calls from Barsotti's today. And, magically, my car, about which there had been complete radio silence, was also finished today, with a significant discount from the original estimate. I never objected to the estimate - it's expensive to live in Marin and I'm a firm believer in fair wages, so I expect to pay a premium so that the employees are fairly paid. I imagine the discount was to encourage me to change the 1 star to more stars. That's not going to change. I am only speaking honestly about my experience. And while in the end I got my car and the work was impeccable, that doesn't change that this business has a lot of internal work to do to ensure humane customer service. I wasn't really objecting to the length of time it took - repairs take the time they take - my objection and complaint was the lack of communication and lack of regard for me as a human. The shining star of Barsotti's - A big shout out to Oteon Bordenave who is consistently professional, courteous, and responsive. Update November 3, 2023. It's been week. I have called and emailed, twice, just looking for a status update. Radio silence from Barsotti's. I genuinely don't understand why anyone would treat another human this way. A simple call to give an update and a timing estimate. It's not an unreasonable ask. We just have to do better as humans with how we treat one another. I'm not even mad at them. Just disappointed that they have no regard for the fact that I'm now over 4 weeks without a car. October 27, 2023. I wish I'd read the reviews more carefully before going with this shop. My VW service team recommended them. I trust my VW team, so I didn't over think it - I just went with Barsotti's. It's been slow, disappointing, and demoralizing. I'm so far 3 weeks without a drivable car and they only just sent the work authorization, even though I approved the estimate and paid 50% weeks ago (out of pocket since my insurance was not helpful). I'm hopeful that the service will improve, but not optimistic. Lesson learned - get estimates from multiple places and really grill on the timing.

Updating my review after I got a call from the manager and had a very nice conversation with her, and have now received our repaired vehicle. As suspected, the workmanship is EXTREMELY good and VERY high quality. You’d never even know it needed repairs in the first place, which is amazing, and the ultimate impact on this revised review. So that’s super important and not insignificant at all.Regarding the earlier comments about last of communication, the manager who called me was absolutely fantastic, and I super appreciate her following up with me. And the manager was super responsive to my input about their folks being more reachable and responsive to inquires. So I really appreciate her commitment to following up with me regarding my review.Original review:I never review places online, and I recognize that this is probably a family run business which operates in a tough segment for reviews anyway. I am going to be incredibly fair here and say that my car isn’t even done yet and has been with Barsotti’s for the past two months or so. For all I know, the workmanship and repair quality may be excellent, and I actually think it probably will be. But I can’t assess that at this time.Where Barsotti’s unfortunately fails miserably is their customer service. I don’t know if anyone from Barsotti’s will read this review, and I hope they do, as all I am trying to do is provide honest, constructive feedback. But their ability to be communicative and have even a most basic level of dutiful correspondence with the customer (or at least in my case), has been nothing short of non-existent. Multiple emails unreturned, voicemails that’s aren’t returned, and promises to ring back and update my vehicle’s repair status that fail to materialize all make it appear that they really just don’t care. I’m sure the people who work there are probably very busy, but we all are, and if I handled my job this way, I would be out of business. It’s just flat unacceptable from a customer service standpoint, and if I were the owner, I would be appalled to read this review.Again, the quality and craftsmanship of my repair may be exemplary - I just don’t know that yet because my vehicle isn’t done. And I have every expectation that it will likely be. But the customer service, thought their people may be nice once you speak with them, is just absolutely horrendous and their lack of engagement is borderline offensive.

In the past they had excellent service. Seems they've gone down hill. Won't even take an appointment to look at my car. I was told to go to a different shop because they can't help me, but won't even take the time to look at the issue. Over 2 weeks of wait time and a day of back n forth emails. Worked with Mike Dinelli. Called a different body shop and explained the same issue with the car and they got me an appointment for the next day. Why things are so complicated when they can be so simple, I'll never know.

I just had the greatest experience at Barsotti's! I bought roof rails and crossbars from Land Rover Marin and the rails kit was missing parts which became a nightmare to install on my own. One testy screw was stuck half way, angled and wrapped in that glue tape, and even with a quick look and attempt from Land Rover Marin's service team we couldn't pull it out leaving the rail unsafe to use. They sent me to Barsotti's where Amber promptly sent out her mechanic Manuel who kindly spent 45 minutes getting after the stubborn screw all while just parked in their driveway. No charges, no fuss, no attitude, just a company happy to help a guy out in need. This kind of service is so hard to find these days... I'm a new client for life!
