I had two balloons inflated at Safeway in mill valley. One ballon was not inflated to its full potential and I was close to this Safeway on B st. I called and asked if I could get it touched up ,Guillermo answered I let him know I had the receipt. He said no I asked why he said go to the store in strawberry I'll charge you full price. Apparently Guillermo is the store manager. I would expect better customer service he's very unprofessional. I shouldn't pay a "full" price for a ballon that does not need "full" inflation. Safeway on las gallinas ave we're so helpful and Amy helped me with this.

big shout out to the manager on duty Sunday afternoon ( 1-15-23 ) named Daniel....xlnt customer service, friendly, personable, very knowledgeable and took care of my return quickly and efficiently....thank you Daniel !

Was surprised how the meat section had a awful smell. Upon getting closer to it. You can see the blood stains that haven't been cleaned up. Wouldn't want to trust this place with its meats.

I worked with the most helpful staff member in the floral department. Lisa was friendly and patient in experimenting with the LED balloons I needed inflated for a party. They also have a great selection of balloons for all types of celebrations.

Came in during my lunch break to get something to eat and use the restroom.....as I was walking in the doors toward the restrooms an older man in the service counter yells at me "hey!! The restrooms are back there!!" I was confused as I saw the restroom literally in front of me, I got to the back and saw a really nasty restroom that said employees only.... management please educate your staff to be more polite..... horrible customer service...I did not catch the guys name but he was an older man taller and wearing a polo dark shirt....did not have a Safeway vest

They have delivery but good luck. Previously, after placing my order I would receive a confirmation. Delivery would always occur within the final minutes of the stated delivery window. Safeway would never notified me that my contactless delivery had taken place. Instead, during my two hour window, I would open the door to find warm milk and melted ice cream. Today was even worse. I placed my order, I received confirmation of my order and confirmation of my delivery window. I waited. After my two hour delivery window expired and no groceries at my door, I phoned the toll free Safeway number (twice) and spoke with customer service. I was told (twice) that Safeway never received payment for my order. I looked at my credit card account and the pending charge is there. I never received a notification from Safeway that payment wasn't received...instead I waited for ... nothing. Previously, I mostly shopped at other San Rafael markets where service has never been an issue. I've been ill at home for the last few months and took advantage of the Safeway delivery program. Looking back, it would have been better to take a ride service to my dependable markets. Now that I am able to get out and about I will return to the markets where I can depend on the quality of the goods and services. Safeway = Undependable

I do not like the Safeway downtown San Rafael. The Deli is open to 5:00PM but the Deli people hide or refuse to serve around 4:30PM. If the Deli staff stops at 4:30PM they should post it as such. It's irresponsible, rude and unprofessional. Safeway downton San Rafael is not following Covid guidelines of keeping people 6 feet apart and are not taking people in order. I guess if you say hello in Spanish and Spanish people are working, the Spanish person is served 1st. This seems like reverse discrimination to me or is somthing wrong at this store? My Handicapped dropped a frozen package on the check out belt while he was unloading his basket. Next thing he notices is a bunch of employees and management grouped together staring at him. He asked the checker if he said or did anything to threatening him and the checker said no. Why was Safeway intimidating my Handicapped husband? I do not think he should have to wear a sign around his neck informing you he has physical problems. I told my husband not go to the downtown Safeway but it's the closest. Safeway is all very corporate but this is the crappiest store in Marin.

Imagine being the only Safeway in all of Northern California that closes the bathrooms. So let's get this straight.... "please make sure you're healthy when you come to our store. Please wear a non-medical or cloth face covering (because that makes sense). Oh and by the way if anything happens while you're here, you won't be able to go wash your hands or relieve yourself" Good job Safeway, you should be proud of yourselves.

Got yelled at by a guy sitting at the door for not wearing a mask and he didn't even have his properly fitted. Shop at Sprouts just down the street: nicer service, less crowds, better produce, better stocked, somehow less pretentious. Everyone seems angry at this Safeway

I love my local Safeway. The clerk's are always friendly. Most of them know me by my first name. I am always greeted with a hello and a smile!

Marco provided excellent customer service to my friend and me. We were very hungry 15 minutes before close and we asked him to heat up an instant mac and cheese meal and he happily obliged. This was honestly life-changing for us in the moment. Miranda, who was working security, was also very helpful and kind. Thank you very much for wonderful service!

I'm going to give a generous 4 stars. New to the area and wanted Hagan Das on sale, they had and was closet to where I live. First off outside of this store, homeless and grounds full of filth. ( Not sure if they spray with water daily, but gross). Inside was pretty decent, not a huge fan of Safeway, found my ice cream, went to self check out because it's easy. Yeah...no. So my card didn't register my discount but a clerk was able to fix that and I was out!! Decided after leaving, that I will go out of my way to another Safeway if I see any specials. Just didn't feel comfortable and the tip toeing around all the crap on the ground just wasn't fire me....
