“They're now Dollar Plus store. Many things for your home or personal use that I'm used to seeing at Grocery Outlet, are now on the shelves for $5-$7. I was impressed. I wanted to shop for some of the items. But, I had to remain focused on why I was there. It was my daughters birthday and I needed some balloons. I also noticed that this stores inventory is always displayed and available for purchase. The store on Grand, hardly ever has anything in there worth shopping for. Which makes me automatically come to this store. You know whatever it is that you're shopping for will be in stock.”

I love shopping at this dollar tree. there are not a lot of people that work there but those who do are very customer service oriented and if there is a long line, they are very graceful under pressure and nice to everyone. “I don’t usually hit up Dollar Tree, but every now and then I let the fluorescent lights guide me to some treasures I didn’t know I needed. My mom, on the other hand, loves cruising the Dollar Tree down in Capitola.

This particular location though, easily one of the cleanest and biggest Dollar Trees I’ve ever stepped foot in—felt like 1.5 to 2x the size of Capitola’s. Bright lighting, wide aisles, and shelves packed with everything from snacks to shampoo to steering wheel covers (because duh).

Food-wise, they’re stacked: frozen pizzas, brand-name ice cream, deli meat, the whole nine yards. Then you’ve got clothing (socks, hats, underwear), toiletries (toothpaste, deodorant, body wash), and home stuff (cups, bowls, plates). I even spotted full-on seasonal aisles decked out for Halloween and Christmas—yes, in the same month.

Pro tip: the greeting card section is a goldmine. Skip the $5–$8 Hallmark heartbreak and grab something solid here for $1.25.

Speaking of which, not everything’s a buck anymore. Prices start at $1.25, creep up to $1.50, and some “fancier” items go as high as $4–$5. Check your tags before you get too grabby.

Staff were friendly and helpful, and overall this location impressed me. Would definitely swing back through when I’m in town.”
