Life house is a horrible agency they don’t care about their clients or their employees which leads to miscommunication and everyone being unhappy if you are considering their agency I recommend you reconsider

Lifehouse agency's management cares nothing about their clients. They care more about employees than client needs. And God forbid there is a client that is very verbal and sticks up for his or her rights. Then there is the clients family. If they are involved and actually care for their family member, acting in their best interest instead of Lifehouses' needs they fight you all the way then they dump the client. There have been a major purge of "certain" clients lately due to the uncaring and they dont want to deal with clients who are not only physically but mentally disabled attitude. The management is incompetent and uncaring. If you love your family member find another agency

I have worked here for 14 years in March. All of my concerns are fewer than a year other place I have worked.

My son Peter has intellectual and developmental disabilities. As he approached adulthood, my husband Marc and I were fearful of his future and assumed Peter would stay at home with us. Enter Lifehouse! The moment I approached Lifehouse, I felt supported, encouraged and hopeful. Now, after 22 years in a Lifehouse home, it is incredibly reassuring to see how Peter is so well cared for. The staff really know and understand him, creating a family atmosphere you feel when you walk in the door. I am forever grateful for their care and I feel completely confident that if I wasn't here, Peter would be loved, respected, appreciated, and cared for. What more can a parent ask for? Thank You Thank You Lifehouse!

Lifehouse refused to acknowledge that durable power of attorney we have to make decisions in the best interests of our disabled young adult. They refused to accept a referral for planning because we, as parents and legal guardians wanted to be included in every aspect of planning for our loved one. It is shocking and disturbing an organization dedicated to service developmentally disabled adults would turn away a loving family. HORRIFIED!
