Terrible experience, had an appointment for a hitch install. had to wait at least 20 minutes for service, just to be told they couldn’t actually install a hitch that day, then when I bought the hitch to install somewhere else, it turns out they gave me the wrong part- they gave me a front-mounted hitch to tow a trailer. A 3+ hour ordeal just to end up with nothingThey were also directing all customers to park in the handicap spaces, and were just generally incompetent. Wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone

Overbooked their trucks so they didn't have my reserved truck available for me. They weren't apologetic at all, nor did they offer any alternatives. So now I have no truck to move my furniture and no other options. Do not bother reserving with this location, unless you enjoy dealing with incompetent employees.

Horrible we had an appointment for 1:00 pm no one was in the building we waited for 30 minutes. Once they did show up, they told us that since the appointment was at 1:00pm and it was now 1:30 there was nothing they could do even though they were late. When we asked to set up another appointment or for help looking for another U-Haul shop they told us to go somewhere else. We had this reservation for weeks and are moving in a week, now we can't find another appointment before we move out of our house.

U-Haul SUCKSSSSSSS! There needs to be a more organized uhaul type of company. I had an appointment to get a hitch installed and drove an hour to this location. Once I get there they tell me how unorganized the back of the store is and that they're looking for the hitch. Turns out they don't have a hitch. As we ask the guy more questions his response was "idk I'm just a guy that works here" NO shittttt, dumdum.

Over charged by $60 and they refused to issue a refund.We picked up the truck on July 17, 2022 for a one day rental. We returned it around 7pm that same day. The after-hours attendant was there when we returned it and we spoke with her.Problem #1: The gas cap of the truck was broken such that the piece that screws into the nozzle was broken off inside the nozzle. Neither we nor the service person who rented us the truck checked this when we picked up the truck, so we did not notice this until we were at the gas station trying to refuel. We tried to get it unscrewed, but it was impossible, so we were not able to refuel.The after-hours attendant took a picture of the broken gas cap and jammed nozzle and said that she would report it to the store manager. (Apparently that was never followed through upon.)On the final contract, we were charged $30.00 refueling fee + $39.75 for fuel. I was happy to pay for the fuel, of course, as we tried to fill it up ourselves and that is our responsibility as renters. However, I was hoping to have the $30 refueling fee refunded as we made a good faith attempt to refuel ourselves, but were unable to do so because of a pre-existing problem with the truck's gas nozzle. The manager of the Uhaul location said that since he had not received a report that anything was wrong with the gas cap, he could not issue the refund. But me telling him that something was wrong with it was the first time anyone knew something was wrong with it, so I'm not sure what he was expecting.Problem #2:We picked the truck up at 9.37am PT on July 17, 2022 for a one day rental. We returned the truck around 7pm that same day. As I mentioned, the after-hours attendant was there, and she directed us to put the keys in the key drop which we did.However, on the final contract, it said that the truck was not checked back in until July 18 at 6.12am PT, so we were charged $29.95 for a whole extra day rental. We were never instructed to take any steps to document the truck's return after hours either by the U-Haul employee who helped us when we were picking up the truck, or by the after-hours attendant. I was hoping that the $29.95 for the extra day's rental can be refunded as the truck was returned during the same day; however, the manager said that since I did not check the truck back in online (not sure how he expected me to know I was supposed to do this...) that he would not refund the extra day.In summary, the faulty equipment and lack of information caused us to overpay for this rental by $60 and my respectful explanation of the facts and request to make it right were outright dismissed by management.

I never post I genuinely do not like the idea of yelp but this had to be done. My wife and I rented a uhaul and had to be back at 9 the young gentleman who helped us was nice and thorough told us late drop of we had to check in on the website and we'd be good. Fast forward have my wife pull up the website before we head back to the uhaul lot and it said the session expired @ 745 pm so I told her wait until we get to the lot . We get there the same thing happens. A security guard on the lot was very helpful told us take pictures put the key in the drop box and just call in the morning . My wife calls this morning and the guy is aggressive telling her "well why didn't you call this number, no this is wrong it only happens if you late on the drop off. " he wouldn't let her get a word off to let her tell what was going on I get on the phone and his tone completely changes . Had to tell him his customer service sucked and he needed to learn not to be sexist and try to be aggressive only because a woman was on the phone. Customer service is a lost art and dealing with this clown at uhaul just shows people have no interest in being good people anymore

We rented two dollies two weeks ago. We showed up the minute they opened and they gave all the dollies away. They refused to give a discount to try to make things right. How I am supposed to move two apartments worth of stuff without a dolly? What is the point of the reservation if they don't hold your things? Im absolutely flabbergasted, if you need a reliable vendor I would not suggest this location as they'll give away your reserved items and do nothing to try to make it right. Luis is the employee who "helped" us.

They're always great and super friendly! I've used this U-Haul several times and have had many friends and relatives who have also. They all have reported the same great service. Highly recommend!

This place is TERRIBLE - the WORST!!! I've been calling in with a billing dispute and they never talk to me; they put me on hold until l hang up and when I persist in calling back, they block my number. Horrible customer service - lowest rating possible.

Bunch of scam artists. I've rented from U-Haul dozens of times all over the bay area with no issues but here I'm being sold a new hitch and new adapters and they refuse to hook up the trailer. Avoid if you can

I bought and paid for a hitch (of which they supposedly had several) and scheduled installation. Received email confirmation of appointment. Also called to ask how long it would take, so I confirmed in two ways. Showed up for appointment. They said they had no hitch and didn't know anything about my appointment: "You must have scheduled that online." Umm yeah?Called customer service, got transferred three times, each time waiting about 15 minutes on the phone. One person told me someone had changed my appointment to the next week without emailing or calling to ask me or even let me know. There is no telling if there will be a hitch there at that time. The last customer service rep actually hung up on me without even giving me the chance to get my money back. Stay away!!
