Twice I have had to close all my accounts and re-establishe new accounts. They were very helpful in making sure my bills got paid and I did not have to worry aboutit. I have again had to go through it again because of ID thieft and again my bank has covered everything and protected me.

This along with most of the San Rafael Branches has deplorable customer service. I went in yesterday (with my mask and the staff snickered as I entered) and tried to cash a check at the Fifth Ave branch and Joseslyn (teller) asked me to stand back behind the line thinking because I was older that I may be infected. I inquired as to why the staff if they were afraid of me weren't wearing masks? Joeselyn arrogantly stated because she wasn't infected. I abruptly told her "that is a crock" and u don't know that and u all should be wearing masks in a public place and that U all have a double standard! These banks are the worst and if it wasn't that I still had accts set up for my business I would close them all and move on to another banking entity like Citibank who really knows how to treat it's customers with "respect" Blythe n her cohort Rita at the main branch smile and try hard but the attitude of other younger tellers is horrible.

How is "0" not an option? This banks policy obviously speaks for itself with the depressed tone of voice any teller or manager has when looking down in stoic scripted attitude dealing with customer service even when you've been banking with them for years. $10 "processing fee" when you don't hold an additional account there when there's no one else in line and it's obviously dying off in clientele. I almost didn't want to review them because it's like going out for Fast food expecting fine dining quality service, but can you at least try?

I was looking up the phone number for my awesome bank and saw the not so great yelp reviews/ratings and MUST chime in. When will people realize yelp is merely an outlet for people who have too little power in their lives. It's a grievance board. It's some kind of outlet for their larger personal unhappiness. I mean just go in, get your money and don't be upset if they didn't deliver it to you on a velvet pillow or offer a free foot massage as a bonus. Westamerica is awesome. My branch feels kind a small town branch where they know everyone's name who walks in. They are great. They are nice. They take wonderful care of me and my Business and have done so for many years. Dear grievance addicts--- get a hobby

Crooks, A few months ago I took money out of my savings afterwhich my balance wa a little over $50.00. After 3 mos or so while balancing my checkbook, I checked into my savings account to find that they had taken $5.00 for every month that the account was below a certain amount. My new balance was now $14.00. This is supposed to be a "Savings" account not a STEAL my money account. Next step BBB and or FDIC.
