Lazy and unprofessional!! This review is for The Boy's and Girls Club CLINIC. I just had my first child in June 2020 and I picked Dr.Colon as my son's primary doctor, however he was on vacation the first two times I went to go see him. The first time I spoke to a Dr.Cheng she kept questioning my decision and pushing me to change my mind so my son can get a genetics but she eventually stopped persisting after the 4th time of me telling her "no". I went the following week and Dr. Colon was still on vacation and I had to be seen by Dr. Brown which I literally felt was a HUGE waste of time. . I was given my sons weight in grams and when I asked if they can convert it to pounds Dr. Brown was like "I can't convert his grams to pounds because the number is like right there" which I have no idea what that means!! And kept saying "I don't know" to my other two questions.Now...the worst part happens. Dr. Brown schedules me back to see Dr. Colon (finally back from vacation) and when I go to check in,ISLA(nurse) tells me that they don't accept my insurance even though I have the temporary newborn insurance and I was seen by them twice already! So we are contacting my sons insurance to change his network and Dr. Colon is there and smiles and waves at me which I respond accordingly and that was the end of communication with him. He goes to the back and I stay at the front desk with Isla. Long story short,Isla tells me I cannot see Dr. Colon because my insurance network change won't take effective until 2 weeks from that day. I started to get upset because my son has a gtube and he ran out of supplies and his primary doctor needs to approve his supplies in order for him to eat and survive. So I explained the situation to Isla when someone from the back named RUBY starts to come to the front desk, but closes the door that leads to Dr. Colon which I found very suspicious. Ruby comes and tells me that she has been overhearing my situation and tried to tell me that Dr. Colon doesn't do gtubes surgeries. I told her "I don't want Dr. Colon to put a gtube on my son. My son already has a gtube but hes low on supplies and his doctor ,Dr. Colon needs to approve the supplies to my son can eat" and then Isla goes and says that I cant be seen because his insurance network isn't accepted. Ruby reiterated that information which I knew already.. So then I said "I called yesterday regarding Oliver and his gtube supplies and I was suppose to get a phone call back and I never did" and then RUBY goes "I was suppose to call you back yesterday, but the nurse told me to call you back all late and we were going to close and I saw that you have an appointment today so I didn't call you back". That was the last straw for me. I said " first of all, that's unprofessional. You're being unprofessional by telling me that you decided not to call me just because you knew I had an appointment today. Thats not okay, because you know I can't call this clinic directly because the number is a call center. You're so unprofessional. My son needs his supplies to eat and Dr. Colon needs to approve it. ". Ruby then said that I was told that his supplies cant get approved by a primary dr then I said that I never talked about the gtube with Dr. Brown and to give me that appointment date she was talking about. She didn't know that I physically write all my sons appointments in my agenda along with saving it on my phone calendar. I called her out on her lie because she gave me a random date. I gave her my sons name and info and she starts telling me that it says my son doesn't have a gtube. So then I get upset because she's reading from my sons notes and I start thinking that his information is wrong. So then I asked Isla to please check if the referral for his gtube supplies came in the office because I was told by his supplier that it was sent. Isla said she didn't have access to that information!!! Which is a damn lie. Then I

This place has been such a blessing for the summers. My son was afraid to go but he was super happy when I picked him up on the first day. He enjoys it quite a bit. They get to go on various field trips and get to do lots of activities and play. The staff is super patient and friendly. The sign up process can be stressful because the lines are long to secure a spot but well worth it.

I've never had an after school care teachers be so amazing with my daughter. She goes to Sycamore Elementary in orange and I am delighted with the service. Emmanuel Guerra and Kristal A. Are sooo AMAZING!! I wasn't pleased with the director at Taft (Hector) but I am so appreciative with both of these gems. They need a raise and an award. They aren't so quick to give an incident report, they give great direction and positive reinforcement. When you give up on a child, the child then loses their focus and motivation. They help ayla not lose motivation. I appreciate you working with me as a team and being so wonderful. You have helped shape aylas year into a great one.
