The manager at this store is extremely rude. I’ve had two interactions with her and I don’t think I’ve ever encountered an employee as rude as her. To the point that even The other employees are scared of her? I spoke to some of them. I’m not sure why Goodwill has people like that in management.I wanted to purchase a chair that was being sold for 24.99. I went the next day and the tag wasn’t there anymore. I spoke to manager and told her that was the price. She priced it at 40 and she said “well that’s my new price. Deal with it.” I kindly asked if she can just give me the price that it was listed for originally and she didn’t want to. She responds, “well you don’t have to buy it”.Someone needs to either speak to her or do something about it.

This review is for the younger gentleman who assisted me with a donation drop-off at around 5:00pm on 01/19/24. This young man was very cordial and welcoming to me when I pulled up to the back dock. He also assisted me with unloading my vehicle, all while being sociable and friendly. I couldn't ask for a better experience! It was far better than I was expecting on the drive over. I hope this person gets recognized for outstanding service. See you again soon.

Another Goodwill that got rid of their media, no books, no dvds, no records, no cds. Why have a store if you're selling everything online?

This place is crap. They do not honor the 60 day exchange policy in any store in SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA. I came in to do an even exchange on a hat. I bought the hat at a different store. The receipt states it can do an exchange within 60 days in SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA. The manager states that they can't do it because of different counties. Change your policy on the receipt if you can't do it. A bunch of liars!

Team member was rude when an untagged item turned out to be overpriced and I turned it down. Can't be too mad at them, though. I'd be miserable too if I lived in Santa Ana.

This goodwill is taking advance of people by overpricing their free donated goods. Some prices were the same or if not more than retail price brand new at Walmart or target. Things were expensive for it being donated. I saw many poor homeless people walking around looking at things they couldn't even afford. These stores were intended to help others. Instead they treat it like it's a retail store where they lose inventory. They would sell more if they were reasonable and made it affordable. The goal is to sell cheap to keep cycling in and out donated items. It's not like the store will run out of donations. Shame on them!! If I could give it no stars I would. I left, they didn't deserve my business.

this place is so expensive for secondhand. Goodwill needs to rethink their prices to make items affordable considering they are donations that will end up in land fills if not purchased. Dirty forever 21 skirts are $8 and target dresses were $15.

I went there on Monday, July 10th, and purchased a pair of pillows for what I thought was $9.99 for the pair. I even asked the lady who checked me out "Is this $9.99 for both?" and she said yes. I would never pay $9.99 for used pillows in a thrift store, I can go to Ross or Nordstrom Rack and get them brand new for cheaper. I had purchased a chair along with the pillows and thought she said the total was $24.99. However, she apparently had said $34.99. I didn't discover this until I stepped out the door and looked at my receipt. I was like okay, no thanks, these pillows can go back or she can charge me the price she quoted. And when I turned around they had locked the doors and although I was banging at the door trying to tell them, everybody ignored me. So, I went back two nights later and tried to explain to the idiot girl and the acting manager what had happened. They would not budge and the acting manager finally said he would reduce the pillows to $5.99 each but would not take them back. So I was like fine. Then the girl at the register said something to him in Spanish and he all of a sudden changes his mind. First of all, how rude. Why don't you say what you need to say about this situation in English like you were just speaking? It's like having somebody talking about you behind your back in front of you! I said to this rude acting manager guy what a rip-off these pillows are and I could get them new for less elsewhere. Then this jerk has the nerve to say "Oh no you can't!". Sorry, dude, yes I can and I did with my other set of much nicer pillows from Nordstrom Rack. First of all, you back down from your word, and then you call your customer a liar. Excellent job! Who hired you? I don't know what possessed me to buy those worn-down-looking pillows in the first place. When I got home they looked like crap and it's not even worth washing them because they will look even more like crap. So I guess I will be donating them to the Salvation Army! Word to the wise about Goodwill. It's not the charitable organization you might think it is. This information I have found through Google and this is what has been said and has been alleged: Less than one-eighth of the company's profit goes toward its charity work. Goodwill sells free goods at a profit, but less than one-eighth of that profit actually goes to the job-related programs they market as their primary pillar of charity work. GOODWILL CEO and owner Mark Curran profits $2.3 million a year. And each city that has Goodwill has a CEO that gets paid a nice six-figure salary and all the good stuff goes to their offices to be sold online and their training programs are funded by the state. All the crap they can't sell gets sold to third-world countries (so charitable) for their own small businesses and the rest goes into LANDFILLS! And when you donate only about 16% of what you give is actually kept. So those recordings you hear in the store are hogwash! Do a little research on Google into sites that do not end in goodwill.com. This is a straight-up business for profit. Organizations like the Salvation Army actually do put the majority of their profits straight into programs for helping the homeless!

I went in on Wednesday July 5th. The color of the week was yellow. I began shopping and looking for any yellow tags to get some deals. Well, I couldn't find any! Not one. Not one yellow tag. I thought maybe they were changing the color or something so I asked an associate. And she told me that everything they were currently pricing and bringing out was NOT yellow tag. So I asked where all the yellow tag was. And she told me that when it's the color of the week they DO NOT put out the color. Uhm. What??? I'm so confused goodwill. Why bother having a color 50% off if you have no merchandise that color?? Make it make sense.

I rated this one star just because they are hard on customers as they would not let customers use their toilet. I donate a lot of stuff there and now I’m thinking of stopping donating to them. I believe they don’t deserve it. I think in any establishment where they accept a lot of customers, the least they can do is give back by offering them their good customer service including the toilet. They’re just plain lazy. ?

maybe it's the day but I'm a vintage shopper and didn't find much vintage there. I did find a very nice black wool lady's blazer with detachable beaded collar. I didn't need another blazer but couldn't pass it up. if you want new stuff, there are lots of cute things.

Goodwill of Orange County, specifically this location, is a fairly orderly, and relatively clean place to purchase used items.I have shopped here for years, and make occasional purchases, (to avoid cluttering my home with "stuff" ) when needed.GOODWILL MANAGEMENT, TAKE NOTICE:There is far too much criticism in this world, and not nearly enough accolades for a "job, well done". So when I receive exemplary customer service, I make a point of letting management know an employee greatly exceeded my expectations. That being said...There is a very pleasant woman, named Elizabeth, who works at one of the cash registers, in her Blue Goodwill smock top, whom always greets me with "Welcome to Goodwill" upon entering the store.Elizabeth, has given me Exemplary Customer Service with a warm smile! Her talents, are being underutilized as a cashier. Goodwill, should consider promoting her to director of Customer Relations as her warmth and pleasant disposition, draw people into the store and potentially, to Goodwill as a whole.Goodwill, would be well served by hiring an Army of "Elizabeths"With so much divisiveness, being sowed into our culture, by the current administration, for their political and financial gain, (and NOT according to the will, nor in the best interest of the people), it's nice to receive that warm and cheery "Welcome to Goodwill" to momentarily take your cares away.
