The people they hire are not customer service at all, they are rude and mostly unprofessional type of staff to run it. They mostly hire through county aid people who trash the system, OR staffing companies to be able and easily terminate them after so many months. There is NO ROOM FOR GROWTH OR OPPORTUNITIES TO WORK UP. They price items higher than most thrift stores and call them selves a nonprofit organization. They hire people through county employment programs for tax break purposes because they are NOT A NONPROFIT ORGANIZATION. They have changed over the years and are nothing but another box store company. They allow mentally handicapped individuals to work for them to make a face on doing good but they are far from it....(Past employee since 2013)I have not shopped at goodwill since I left the company due to the poor work ethic this business has.

I ordered and paid for an item online. It's Goodwill so they obviously have it in stock. It's not a regular store so they don't have to replenish inventory. I bought and paid for the item and days later I get an email saying the item is on back order. Which really means they sold it to someone in person. They did apologize in an email but that doesn't excuse poor business practice or mismanagement of there inventory.
