Bought a Barnes and Noble Nook online from them, description said item could turn on but was not further tested, so I purchased on the assumption it at least turned on, when I received the item, the screen was completely frozen and would not react to anything, hard resets, soft resets, unplugging the battery, nothing worked. The screen was frozen permanently. It didn’t turn on as they claimed. I contacted Barnes and noble to help me fix it, we went through a couple of things and came to the conclusion it does not work whatsoever and they cannot do anything for me. Reached out to Goodwill to let them know that the description they had stating it turned on was incorrect and was solely the reason I purchased it for my grandmother. They have ignored my ticket. It seems 3/5 interactions I have with Goodwill open my eyes a little more each time. They’re not good people. Would not donate to Goodwill if my life depended on it. Donate straight to the source, homeless shelters, etc. at least then they’re not worried about turning a profit or tax write offs, I mean how genius is it though to operate a store based solely on stuff given to you for free and turning around and selling it for a profit or giving the worse items to organizations and using that to write off on taxes to show less of an income. It’s a genius idea but it’s not holier then thou, it’s a business with the only operating expenses being rent, utilities and salaries

The employees are all great. The low rating is because of the extremely limited hours you can pick up stuff and the archaic scheduling system. Great way to get cheap stuff though.

Beware, this place is unable to be on time or keep an appointment within reason. Even when you show up early to be on time. Very unpleasant shopping experience

If you shop online and purchase something see where they're never open they never answer their questions you end up receiving something weeks after you purchased it you'll get some good stiff shocks if they're only going to be open several hours for 2 days a week they shouldn't be in the shipping business

Went back. To get my item that was missing from the box. They found it. But one of the adjusters was broken. This was something that wasn't listed or stated. Which was a pretty obvious thing. So. :-( is what it is I guess. I think after this last experience. I will shy away from shopgoodwill auctions. It seems the items are often in poor condition or most commonly the shipping and handling are as much as or often times cost more than the items you're purchasing. Description of items is also misleading. A poster of an autographed item doesn't equal an autographed item. Very misleading. Also if you state something is signed by someone. Like a Jersey. Be signed by that person. Lots of inconsistencies and deception.

for the last one month i received 5 broken items out of 8 orders. they charge a lot of money for handling and shipping, but the items were poorly treated, wrapped by employees. as a result = broken. if 2 items are in the order ,one is big and one is small, and the bigger item is broken , they divide the money i spend for both in half, and refund it for the bigger item even if they sell similar item separately for more money. not fair !!!!! they lie about the condition of the items.

They went above and beyond with their service to me on my visit. Even though I was never going to make it in time for the hours of operation that they have posted. They were able to quickly figure out a solution which worked out the best for both of us. Which I was truly grateful for, since this location/stop was mapped into my families already scheduled drive down towards SoCal. A deviation that was going to add an hour into our already 4 hour long drive. So thank you, everyone who assisted with me that day. Especially the lady at the front desk, Veronica? You were awesome!
