This review is based solely off of a bad experience interacting with one of the valet employees. It was the night before my best friend's wedding, and a few of us, including the bride, were staying at this Hampton Inn. We had checked in earlier in the day, then taken one car to go hang out with the rest of the bridal party that night, returning around midnight. When we returned, there was nowhere to park our car, so I politely asked a valet to help us. He didn't park the car, just told me where to park. Afterward, he and another valet walked with the three of us (all women in our twenties) to the hotel lobby entrance. The one valet was making fun of us, saying, "we don't know where to park!" and other demeaning, slightly sexist comments. He clearly thought we were dumb and causing him a big inconvenience by coming back after the lot was full.Thankfully, I'm a very composed, nice person nearly all of the time, so I said nothing. But I was thinking, "Dude, the parking lot is FULL! I have to break normal parking rules in order to fit my car in here. It's YOUR job to help everyone park! Don't act like we're idiots because we don't know what kind of system you've established!"I normally don't complain or get too frustrated with bad service. I'm sure working in customer service and hospitality can be rough, so I try to be understanding. This did sour a special night though, and I wish I had made a complaint to management at the time. It was a while ago now, and I don't recall the valet's name.Everything else about the stay was fine, even good, so that's why it's a 2-star review instead of 1-star. I typically like Hampton Inns, and I've never had an issue like this before, so while I'll avoid this location in the future, I'm sure I'll be utilizing the chain in other cities.

Hotel is under renovation which is great. But the work is being done between 12am-6am. When asked about compensation for the inconvenience, was just given an apology.

A rundown Hampton Inn with limited parking. Understaffs and needs a lot of improvement for Hampton Inn... staff were helpful but the management is the problem. The restaurant is the only highlight for our stay. The price is fair...

I frequently stay at Hilton hotels and can say I was very disappointed with this facility. The room was very poor quality, appeared dirty, stale/mildew smell, paint peeling on ceiling, toilet plumbing issue, bathtub appeared dirty. Definitely not the experience I typically encounter with other Hilton properties. Would definitely not stay at this location again.

This was by far one of the worst experiences I had! When we arrived, all the parking spots were taken. So the only option was to give to valet. Then the next morning, we noticed everything in the car was missing! The car was parked in front of the entrance. So we asked for the cameras to be seen. The owner kept on dodging us. We called them more than 10 times, but no response. If you review the comments below, you can see this has happened multiple times. Please save yourself a headache, and avoid this hotel!

Old hotel from the looks of it. Poorly maintained too. WiFi, TV did not work. Front office staff was helpful but completely overwhelmed with the number of guests checking in.

I’m a black registered nurse and a CEO/ MD of a flourishing home care agency that I own in the state of Indiana.I came to California with relatives and friends for a 40th birthday party of a Freind.I booked 2 nights at Hampton INN & SUITES by Santa Anna ( 2720 Hotel Terrace Drive, Santa Ana, California, 92705, USA).I checked in on Thursday night at 9Pm . Immediately I entered the room, I was met with an offensive smell. I called the front desk and I was told someone will be sent in to check on it. I slept off when no one showed up.The next day which was Friday, the 1st of December, I woke up, used their gym & went for breakfast.and prepared to go to my sisters hotel which is 10 mins drive from mine.I called a lift and on my way out, I saw the cart of a house keeper working in one room. I said hello… and she came out. I politely asked her if she could clean my room. She asked for my room number and she brought out her note book with list of rooms and told me my room wasn’t included in her list but I can talk to some one at the front desk.I got to the front desk and politely requested for my room to be cleaned and a lady took down my room number and I subsequently rushed out to my waiting Lyft driver. The party ended around 1am and I got back to the hotel at 1:30 am, but my key wasn’t opening the door.I left my suit case by the entrance to go get another key at the front desk ( I suffer from severe back pain). On getting there, I met 2 guys, 1 white & 1 Hispanic ,there and I was told I’m not allowed into the room because they got a report from their manager that I pushed a house keeper and they can’t allow me in.At first , I thought it was a mistake. So I repeated my room number and he confirmed it. I requested to talk to the manager, he declined and refused to give me any contact. All my effort at explaining that it couldn’t have been me was met with laughing and defiant. I specifically explained that I couldn’t have pushed an able body man since I’m managing sciatica nerve pain for the past 7 months ,I have prove of my medical records. Instead they started laughing, i was totally confused and broke down in tears. I called 911 and was told there’s nothing they could do to help because it’s their property. They call 911 and 2 white cops arrived and treated me like an hardened criminal. They told me to leave the building and instructed the guys to go in my room to bring all my belongings. I was even denied a request to be escorted back to my room to pack my belongings. Instead, all my shoes, watches, suitcases, my medications, underwear were wrap in a blanket and dragged to the reception. One of the cops even made a jest that “at least you have a free blanket to sleep on”As if I’ve not been treated worse enough, the cops insisted I couldn’t even wait in the reception for a ride to pick me up. I was thrown into the street in the at 2:30 AM.I broke into tears again especially by the action of the 2 white cops who show no sympathy, whatsoever, for a black lady in the middle of the night at a place she’s not familiar with at allI booked for 2 nights with payment of $100 security, but ended up spending just a night. And I was equally informed by the cops that my money would not be refundedNoteworthy details: I would never recommend this hotel even for my worst enemy. It was a nightmare staying there. Please don’t book this hotel for any reason!

Made reservations two weeks in advance. Arrived at 2:35 pm and was told that our room would be ready in 25 minutes. 25 minutes later a room still not ready. Told it would be 5-20 minutes. Sat in lobby and watched as other customers were getting their rooms. Two hours later we were told our room was ready. We were also told that for our inconvenience that they would adjust our bill. Next day, get into shower, no hot water. Waited an hour and finally had hot water. Going to a funeral that afternoon, opened iron board to iron clothes, ironing board totally fell apart onto the floor. Husband had to assemble and then it was only as high as my knees. I am 5'4. Third day, no hot water again. Let the water run for at least 5 min, in the middle of my cold shower, starting getting hot water. Needless to say, we did not shower on our fourth day and left the hotel. While checking in, asked for the manager several times, was told he was not available. Contacted customer service and that was not helpful. Awful experience, have stayed in numerous Hampton Inns, never experienced this type of service and room issues. To the end of this experience, we were told that our bill would be adjusted for our inconvenience, received our bill, you got it, not adjustment. Will not be returning.

Nice room, and big. But dark. Convenient to SNA airport but don’t believe it when they tell you it’s a 4 minute drive. MAYBE if you catch green lights all the way, but in reality, it’s about 15 minutes. No counter space in the bathroom, just a small edge around the sink to put anything. We left too early to try the breakfast that starts at 6:30 am. Room was clean and lobby area is clean and good looking. Parking lot seems too small to accommodate all the guests.

The location is great but next time I’ll stay at the best western right next to it. I was only in the area for a day so all I needed was a clean room to bathe and sleep in. When I walked into the bathroom I saw an ant crawling on the toilet, it happens. Then I saw a handful in the shower, now I’m a little worried. Then I saw a dozen congregating on the outside corner of the shower, now I’m grossed out. I ask the front desk to clean the bathroom while I’m out for dinner and she said they’ll get someone in there to take care of it. And they did, kinda. I come back and I see all the now dead ants in the bathroom. So they definitely did not clean the bathroom, they sprayed it and walked away.

It appears a remodel just happened. New floors and new floors in the bathroom also the shower looked newer than any of the pictures I saw in other reviews. The pull out bed didn't have any blankets - the front desk lady was very nice and got blankets and more towels for us quickly. Breakfast was good and free. Waffles, eggs, cereal, pastries, yogurts and fruits. We would probably stay here again.

Our stay spanned 5 days. This review is based solely on facts, not emotion.STAFF: helpful, when they're around! I am an early riser and read in the lobby around 4:30-7:00 am. People checking out would stand at the desk for several minutes before person on staff in back room could hear them tapping their nails/coughing to catch their attention. THEY NEED A BELL! "Please ring for service" during less busy times!LOBBY: Pros: newly renovated, looks nice! Items for purchase near check in. Cons: uncomfortable furniture now. No TV for news, no computer station or printer.COFFEE: Pros: Coffee in the lobby. Hot cocoa packets and tea also available as well honey, sugar and chemical sweeteners. If anything is out of stock (cups, lids, half and half, etc, check the drawers under the countertop, upon which the coffee sits! Thats where extra supplies are!) Coffee also available in rooms.Cons: Coffee in lobby doesn't seem to be well managed! The first couple of mornings it was cold, because it sat all night. A couple of people inquired at the front desk and the staff reply was that hot coffee would be ready at 6:30, when gal who runs breakfast would bring it out. So if you have an early flight, you'll have to get hot coffee elsewhere! (This morning, the chef arrived at 5:00 for duty and by 5:15 she wheeled out hot coffee! I am not sure if that was because she saw me sitting in the lobby when she walked in and knew I inquired the previous morning about hot coffee, nevertheless, I graciously praised her for rolling out hot coffee before 6:30 am! Several people were able get hot coffee before heading out.)BREAKFASTPros: breakfast includes eggs, a meat (sausage patties/sliced sausage, etc.), hash browns, oatmeal, 4 sugar cereals, bagels/english muffins, bread, fresh waffles (pumpkin batter and vanilla during our stay) and all the fixings: cream cheese, butter, syrup, honey, brown sugar, peanut butter, two jellies, 2% milk, slivered almonds, half and half. One table is counter height which, was nice for my son who is in a power wheelchair and can't comfortably fit under a standard table. The lady in charge of breakfast keep food well supplied and continuously wiped tables, pushed in chairs and kept food counters clear of crumbs, drips, etc. sweet lady!! fully accessible ramp into dining hall was nice! Cons: breakfast doesn't start until 6:30. Dinning hall can feel crowded and tight. Not much space for my son in his power-chair. Gets hot due to several appliances constantly producing heat (waffle irons, consistently running toaster, hot food plates for eggs/meat and oatmeal). The door to the poor was left ajar which helped managed the stuffy dining hall. ROOMSPros: newly renovated rooms have nice touches. As a family of 5, we managed to sleep mostly well. Front desk provided extra blankets, per our request, to soften the thin coiled hide-a-bed mattress. No signs of bed bugs. Room appeared fairly clean at first glance!Cons: Bathrooms are a horrible design due to the angle of of the door. (They have ZERO rooms that are truly ADA.) No roll in showers, only bathtubs and a couple rooms that have showers with doors, but there is a lip to step over. Bathing our 10 year old, non ambulatory son was a huge struggle and required us to use our push wheelchair as has power-chair could not fit in the bathroom, even to wash hands. What a huge oversight from this hotel to accommodate the ADA community! (There was an ADA parking spot with wheelchair space so we could properly park and extend our lift!)Our bedsheets seemed like full size sheets stretched onto a queen size bed! They never stayed put. They were not soft at all. More like a thick, papery feel. And our beds were made with the sheets inside out. My son, 5, saw ants in the corner of room near head of the bed and the windowsill. Unfortunately my other son threw up at 8:30 pm our first night. I retrieved extra towels from the front desk and a bottle of glass cleaner to try to clean up our mess, since house keeping isn't on site that time of day. (They were very

About 20 minutes from Disneyland and an hour & 20 from Universal. All the times that we've visited California, with my parents and now my own family, our hotels are generally closer to Disneyland. I have a client that grew up in Anaheim and I cracked up the first time he referred to it as Ana-crime! I've never noticed any bad areas in our travels here. Definitely have seen more sketchy areas around Universal compared to Anaheim... so for us with family/kids, this area seems safer and we'll just do the hour plus drive out there. Besides, we generally visit Disneyland more days than Universal anyway. For this trip, being that we were having the longest drive of our lives... from San Fran, and having a horrible start in hotel experience there... we called at the start of our long journey. Like, "hey we have a res and you're for sure holding a room for us right?" Kinda deal lol. They said as long as we made it there before 3am I believe was the cut off time for cancelation. I could be wrong. Still, we arrived somewhere around 1230a-1am. While on the phone with them, they were busy! Just one person at the front desk after a certain time so be patient. In the mornings it looked like they mightve had breakfast downstairs but we never had time for any of that. There was always water, coffee and tea bags in the lobby. There were vending machines on each floor near the ice machine. At the front desk there are some things to purchase for convenience. Some snacks, feminine products, drinks, etc... Parking was convenient and there were always enough stalls in the lot to accommodate. Nice lil lobby area to do some work and I believe a small workout room. One thing to keep in mind was the conservation of towels. I tend to reuse towels while staying in hotels. I just hang them up and use again, no big deal to me. Mr G on the other hand needs the whole room redone every night *eyeroll*. I get it, we pay for these services (supposedly) and he likes to be pampered in that way while on vacay. But on the flip side, when I think of outsiders coming to our island and wasting resources just because they're on vacation and pay for it, that's just nonsense to me. So I try to act accordingly and be as much of a tree hugger that I can. This particular habit of Mr G's kinda screwed us up a bit. He threw all the towels outside for housekeeping to grab and we were left with no towels. When we got back from a late night at Universal, hoping to have a fresh shower with fresh set of towels.... they were all out! The front desk employee scrambled to find us a bunch of hand towels *side eye* LOL. I was low key sus about them even being clean tho!! Can't be mad at her because ultimately I was quite upset with my partner of course! So just a heads up, if you want replacement towels, make sure you get them before tossing out the old ones or else you could end up in our situation. The room itself was fine. We literally only used it for luggage storage, sleep and shower. For our Cali, Disney/Universal vacations we're very low maintenance guests. Majority of my time & $$ needs to be spent at the theme parks honestly. So if you're the same, then I'm sure this spot will do just fine. No complaints on our end!
