I took my dog to the vetco for vaccinations and he came back with fleas. I don't think they clean or sanitize after every visit

When you spend almost $75 on 160# of cat litter and they have NO carts. You use an employee work cart. NOT good customer service. I guess you don't want the business. Lucky for me there are better stores in HB. SO LONG SA PETCO!!!

**This review is for Joey ** They are always so helpful and patient! My basket is always full of stuff and I always feel bad that there is a long line behind me and they are the only one at the register. No matter how long the line is Joey always remains super friendly, helpful and pleasant with everyone. Always a great shopping experience when Joey is there.

Fishes for my classroom. Pet Co sponsors a program called Pets in the classroom. I got a voucher for a 10 gallon aquarium and some fish. I purchased some accessories like rocks/pebbles, plants, and s sunkin barrel for the little guys to swim thru. This particular location was very helpful. I was told the aquarium needed to be up and running before adding fish. I went back a week later and picked out a few fish. A week after that, the fish are still alive. Located near Trader Joe's on Bristol. Parking is plenty but always full. Staff is friendly.

This place looks like a third world country. It's chaotic. You can't push a cart in here there's so much clutter. It's filthy and they don't have any inventory. Total pass.

My experience today at grooming left a bad taste in my mouth. I made an appt with a groomer named here on Yelp that had positive reviews. I was running a few minutes behind for my 2:45 pm appt, so I called to let the staff know and confirm that I could still make it. The person on the phone said that as long as I made it by 3 pm (checked in, signing paperwork) they could still take me. We got there at 2:58 (traffic going north on Bristol between the In-N-Out and roadwork is no joke) and no one was in the lobby to check us in. I called out and our groomer came out of the back room. I shared who we were and immediately was served with "you're late". I told her that I had just called and that I was told we could still come. She was confused that we wanted a haircut in addition to a bath (my dog has shorter hair, but we like to buzz it every few months) and was concerned she wouldn't have time to do it. She kept saying that there was a VIP client (which at first sounded super rude, but apparently it's an upgraded package?) coming in right after me and that she wasn't sure she'd have time. First of all, the other Petco's we've done grooming at all seem to have a 3-4 hour window between clients, and secondly, if there wouldn't have been time for us, why not say so on the phone? In any case, we started filling out paperwork, even though I was a little uneasy knowing that we would be rushed. Her colleague came out to remind her about the VIP client again and insinuated that there may not be enough time for us. I ultimately chose to bow out, given the experience I had with the staff, and honestly the way the front of the grooming area looked (dirty and filled with hair). I would not come back here for grooming and hope that others have a better experience than I do should they choose this location for grooming services. Hoping the staff improves their communication and customer service!

This Petco does not have an available female restroom. Per employees they only have for males because the key for their female restroom is broken. AND there is no sign on their door indicating that their female restroom is not working.

Both visits were challenging. First visit the pet tag engraver did not work for about five groups of people. The second visit took about 20 minutes and four intercom calls for somebody to help me get a fish. I just think they can do better.

I can see why this store is only 2 12 stars. I try not to go in there but location wise it is convenient. The store is so messy. A few weeks ago they sold me dead wax worms. The reptile enclosures are dirty and there is never anyone to help with answers to important questions. Today I am just venting but had an interaction with Dan, a male manager and another person. I was attempting to return an online order. I guess Petco has extremely limited technology abilities because this person was unable to find it without an order number. I was unable to give it to the person and asked if they could look it up with my phone number. Apparently not. I then asked if they could return without a receipt as it was clearly in a Petco bag with tape stuck on it. This person ignored me and asked the manager to walk over. He explained the very serious situation of not having an order number and Mr. Dan the manager very seriously responded with another no, we cannot look it up. By then I was done. Mr. Dan could have said I can absolutely help you, he said I didn't give him a chance, but good customer service skills would have led with a positive not a negative. But, this is not a surprise coming from this store. It really is gross and I am sure they will be happy to know that I will no longer vacate that so called store. :) Side note, it's been quite awhile but this same store used to be able to sell rats when it was okay to have them. I walked in one day and there were way too many rats in one small habitat and they had to lay on each other and looked half dead. It was very disturbing and sometimes I wonder about the treatment of their reptiles because they house a lot together, many times laying on each other and dead insects. Anyway, the store is on Bristol ST. Go if you absolutely have to but I would find a cleaner store. If Petsmart carried Just Food for Dogs, I would go there instead. I do not respect the store and Petco in general I guess.

The groomer Reyann canceled our appointment when we were at the salon because of a bunch of BS reasons. We had to scramble to find another place to wash our dog, who was soaking wet. If you guys are short staffed or you'd turn away appointments for any reasons, at least give us a call beforehand.. horrible customer service, we filed a complaint to the corporate. Hopefully someone can do something to fix this issue Update: Reyann from Petco told us she only had 1.5 hr for our dog. Because our dog is not dry and has matting and they are understaffed , she has to cancel the appointment. Funny thing is luckily we found another groomer who washed and dried our dog within 1hr and 15 minutes. The groomer even fixed all the matting!!

I brought my dog in for his annual Vaccine. I was very satisfied with the service. The receptionist and treatment coordinator were professional and polite. Dr. Mintzer was courteous, compassionate, and sincere.

This is the best location in the area!! Katrina is amazing for grooming. She's so helpful!! I love her and so did my dog, she's definitely cares about the animals!

Smelly Manager Service was great, Michael was kind enough to help me out with picking dog food! Unfortunately, every time he lifted his arm it let out an outrageous stench, it felt like it followed me home. It was truly the most horrendous odor I've ever experienced on any human kind. Great service, but please do something about this issue. Thanks!
