Expert, professional, and kind fitters! I had a great experience with Melissa. I had trouble with Zoom but she was very accommodating and kind + asked me many questions to find the right shoe for me. Shipping was quick, and I even had a follow up meeting to see how the shoe was working. My pointe teacher is also really happy with the fit. I couldn't recommend The Pointe Shop enough!

DO NOT get an online fitting with the pointe shop or Josephine lee, I got an online fitting and they only send you one pair of shoes unlike other places that send 4-6 pairs. The shoes did not fit and I was forced to pay to ship them back and to pay for shipping for a second pair. When I asked they refused to do another follow up fitting for the new shoes even though it was their fault I was sent a pair that didn’t fit. They also don’t offer money back, they only offer store credit.

Literally the worst experience. I did a virtual fitting and they sized me wrong despite providing them all the info abt my pointe shoes. Then made me pay shipping to send them back and the size I actually needed wasn’t even available. After all of that they still wouldn’t refund me shipping and charged me a fee because I had to find my shoes elsewhere and not buy them from them. So I essentially paid $80 for no pointe shoes. When they are the ones who fitted me wrong. Will never shop here again

We love Melissa, she is very informative. However, make sure your ballet teacher approves the Pointe Shoes you purchase because if not, you need to return it for another. That will be a ballet school and teacher preference and not the Pointe Shop's as they know what works for your feet shape and growth. However the ballet schools each have their own styles and goals for your feet. Therefore make sure you keep the ballet shoes pristine and returnable if the teacher asks for another style.

Josephine is a very professional ballerina. When we bought the shoes, she considers fitting for the new shoes , and also provides the valuable advice for current shoes which is wider after wearing for a couple weeks. It makes my daughter enjoys dancing more. Thank you Josephine!

Annoying. I drove here in the middle of my day to come buy ballet shoes for my daughter, they're closed even though it says they're open. The door is locked and it says they only do appointments.

I did virtual fitting with Josephine, she's very knowledgeable but she is ALWAYS in a hurry. Not being nice at all, everything she says feels like she is hurrying me to do things. I didn't feel like she wanted to help me, I felt like I'm being scolded by a teacher the whole time.Update: I was 2 minutes late and only took some seconds to get my stuff. The whole meeting was 10 minutes long. Appointment was at 4, the meeting ended at 4:12pm. (so it did not affect her schedule at all) I apologized for more than five times on not being able to find the email I was sent and she did not acknowledge it at all. The above rushed feeling applies to my first fitting as well.

I love The Pointe Shop! I've got fitted by Josephine, Melissa, and Gg. All of them are great! They not only help you find the current shoe, but also have a plan for you as your feet evolve. I've had three different shoes last year progressively as my feet got stronger. I love that they cater to both your needs and your dance teacher's requirements. They are also very responsive if you have follow up questions about your shoes or pointe shoe tips & tricks in general.

The pointe shop did not disappoint! My daughter was having major problems with her pointe shoes and Melissa helped! She even gave her exercises to help her with her ridged ankles. The pointe shop did not waste anytime with getting her the right shoes! Thank you!

Exceptionally knowledgeable and skilful. You'll get a shoes that actually fit, have the exact stiffness that you need, and take into account all of your specifics. The payoff online avoiding injuries and long-term damage is worth every penny.Worth the hour and a half drive. If the size of your foot stabilizes, they have a subscription plan where they simply ship you new shoes automatically at the pace that you normally wear them out. Critically, they will teach you how to recognize when your shoes are worn out. You'd expect every dance instructor to know, but it's surprisingly spotty. Finally, they keep notes on every customer, so that they can review your history and development. This isn't a single fitting that's disconnected from every other fitting: this is an ongoing process of spotting trends and heading off problems. It's like having a very good doctor who sees you regularly, instead of you waking in and saying, "Hey, I have a headache."Can't recommend highly enough.

This is the place for Pointe Shoes. It’s all they do.l and the do it well.Tips: make an appt. Appt only. You can’t just show up. Go to their website for appt Leave early to arrive a few minutes earlyThey won’t take late appts Appts are 15 min When you arrive stand outside. No need to knock. They see you. Dancers must be in tights or appt is canceled. There is a parking lot with murals across the street. Their signage is small. Another good reason to go early.Pointe Shoes cost around $125-$150

I love Josephine and The Pointe Shop! She is a genius at fitting shoes and had me in the right pair on the first try. This is my second fitting with her and she listened to my concerns about recent injuries and what has been hurting to get me in a different shoe to minimize these. As an older dancer it is nice to be taken as seriously as younger people. Thank you, Josephine!
