This location is so small. It felt like a 7-11 in Asia! The guy was mopping when we were in there, and then he came to help us. My partner wanted to go inside because he was buying an energy drink. I glanced at the slushies, but didn’t get anything. I noticed they had a lot of baked cookies but who knows how fresh they were. It was way too cold outside.

Disgusted with this place. Put my last 20 on my 711 wallet to buy a new charger lead and some food and the person at the till said it wasn't working?? Didn't even offer an explanation didn't even try and make it work just said wasn't working. That's insane. That's like going to a shop with a gift card and them saying they can't accept it. The money is in my 711 wallet. Literally there to be spent at a 711 store and I can't even spend it? Absolute atrocity I've contacted 711 directly to tell them what a shambles of a store this is.

Anybody who has followed my reviews for any serious amount of time knows that Santa Barbara is my wife and my favorite getaway spot. It's very much our home away from home and where we escape to when we want to decompress. I can safely say that I know State St. pretty well, and it's always interesting to see when businesses are added or deleted from the browsing lineup.I'm confused, though. How is this place not on Yelp already? *scratches head*This 7-11 location has been open for approx 2 years and is located on the corner of State Street and Ortega St, right next to Antique Alley and across the street from the Paseo Nuevo mall.Honestly, almost all 7-11's in the USA are pretty similar. Nothing really makes them stand out. What makes this place shine is its location. As everybody knows, State Street is lined with all sorts of boutique stores, restaurants, coffee shops, etc. And some of them can be pricey. Its also a VERY touristy area. Until recently, State St. had both a Rite Aid and a CVS for people to duck into if they needed snacks or sodas. With Rite Aid closing, however, this 7-11 fills a needed gap. The location is small without being too small, and it's bigger on the inside than it appears. You'll find all the items you'd expect to find here are reasonable prices. And hey... sometimes you just NEED a Spicy Big Bite or a Slurpey in your life, even on posh State St. Am I right?The location is always busy, and surprisingly clean, and the employees are usually friendly.A solid 3 stars for here; but I can't help but toss in a 4th for its super convenient location. This spot is a prime example of why Yelp needs to allow half-star ratings!

We took our kids to Mexico a few months back, and one day, I ordered a frozen strawberry margarita and my toddler immediately said, "I wanna drink that!" I thought, fair enough, and he got a virgin strawberry margarita, setting the precedent that when Mommy and Daddy get special refreshing daytime drinks, Leo B. asks for one, too.Which is why, during a Sunday afternoon stop at M. Special a few doors down, I made a quick trip to this 7-Eleven to buy my son a Slurpee.I think this was my first time buying a Slurpee in my adult life. I hadn't realized there were so many flavors, or that the smallest available size was a medium. I settled on an orange pineapple Slurpee and ran it out to my child. (I'm afraid I didn't spend any more time browsing the 7-Eleven for Yelp review purposes, but I'm guessing it was similar to other 7-Elevens.) Surprise surprise, he loved it.Look, is it the best move to bribe your two-year-old with fluorescent orange sugar ice just so you can drink your beer in peace on a balmy, beautiful afternoon? Yes, absolutely, it is. We did take the precaution of telling him Slurpees were a Santa Barbara only treat (never mind that there's one right next to his school), but really, no regrets.

Slurpie wasn't frozen in the slightest, just liquid (plus all the names wrong for the flavours). At first wasn't willing to even issue a refund - appalling customer service.

Business hours are in correct. I went there from the Greyhound station to pick up food for multiple people who have nothing over there. The guy said the store closed at 11:30 and one even let me get a can of coffee With an EBT card. The guy was extremely rude and they have false advertisements on their business along with selling knock off merchandise.Additionally, he’s just been standing behind the counter texting on his cell phone with the door open and decided to put up a close sign when he could’ve simply just rung up an order for travelers but decided to catch an attitude.
