We we’re robbed by the installer. We live on a ranch and we’re working outside when the install occurred. It wasn’t until after he left we went to look at the carpet and only then noticed our jewelry (including my 1.5 ct diamond and Ceylon sapphire engagement ring) which was in the other bedroom had been stolen. Called the store and the said “we asked him and he said he didn’t do it”.

Assistance in choosing materials and quality of installation were both excellent. Pricing was competitive. It was a good experience.

I called to come into the store to check out samples because I am redoing my floors in my studio. Dan answered and said basically that I couldn't check out the samples because they were too busy with bigger jobs. Terrible customer service.

A friend recommended A C Ramirez Floor Coverings after a good experience with carpet and after comparisons to several other flooring companies we decided to go with them for installing bamboo floors. Tom was super helpful & knowledgeable and the installers did a good job. When we realized we were short on baseboards to complete one room Tom gave us the extra we needed free of charge, even though we hadn't included them in our original order. Top notch service!

I would give them 4 stars, but they are terribly difficult to deal with. I called them on May 2nd, and they finally came out and did the work on June 6th. It was 14" x 14" repair to a wood floor. Install new wood, sand, and finish it with oil stain, which I provided. It isn't so much the time elapsed from when I first contacted them, but they simply wouldn't commit to doing the job. Both the workers, Braulio and Jose were very good, talented, and obviously great at their trade - nothing but good things to say about them. When you are looking for a service, the company should be able to give you a date, time, and an estimate in fairly short order. It was like pulling teeth. Justin gave me excuse after excuse - that their estimating software was down, not writing or calling back etc... Finally, after sending a nastygram asking point blank for them to be honest and tell me yes or no so I could try and find another company willing to do the job, Mike Carmel finally got back to me and followed through. They do good work, if you can put up with them. I've now tried to call about 10 times to pay with my credit card, but I can't get them to call me back, and today the phone just rings and rings. Also, their voice mail system, goes through a ton of names - giving you full 10-digit numbers (some of them incorrect) as if you have a pencil in hand to write it down instead of an extention. Poorly managed, but good workers. Hang in there people - they will finally get to you if you're persistent enough and the work will be well done, but what a hassle!!!!

Great people, great selection, great family, great quality. I've known this family for years and am one of their suppliers of materials. They always seek Vale and quality in the products they offer to their customers. I've known Mr. Ramirez for over thirty years. I trust him, his Sons, and staff.

One star here is one star too many. Should be minus one star. I chose this place based on a recommendation from my designer. BAD DECISION because it was a terrible experience from start to finish. Salesman was slick and unresponsive, refusing to break out the labor versus the material in the bid, so I could compare bids. The installer claimed the carpet was crooked (it was one stair) and I then ordered more expensive carpet (guess what, the stair and the pattern on it was still crooked), so there was a one-month delay and more expense (although the owner claimed he would work with me on the price). Installers returned and scratched up the paint and stain on my stairs during installation and seemed baffled about how to wrap the carpet around floating stairs without causing sagging in the middle. Once installation was complete, three weeks later I got a ridiculous email bill with an incorrect (higher) amount, claiming I was more than 30 days overdue. A correct email bill did follow shortly after, but the damage to my blood pressure was already done. My advice to anyone reading this: avoid this place like the plague... AC Ramirez is small time and knows nothing about customer service.

My experience with this company reflects what you can read elsewhere on the web: everything was fine until something went wrong. I believed I was current on my account and had even made a special trip on one occasion to be sure my bill was paid. Apparently I was mistaken because old man Ramirez got me on the phone and bellowed at me like he was a bull and I was trying to steal his testicles. I have never been treated so rudely in my life. No calm explanation would assuage. I paid him off, but took the rest of my business elsewhere. Their prices are not that great nor is their taste, so I say, take your business elsewhere.
