This is the worst business ever. My boyfriend ordered a chainsaw from them over the phone in early December 2023. They told him the order couldn't be put in until he came in to pay in person. He went in same day and paid. He continued to follow up weekly to check on the status of the chainsaw as the sales associate said "it should be in next week" when he purchased it. Every time he called to check status, the sales person said "it should be in next week. we have your contact info and will call you when it gets in." FINALLY after 4 weeks of this, my husband spoke to the actual sales order lady. She said that a sales receipt was made but NO ORDER WAS EVER PLACED because someone didn't mark the appropriate parts and she just TOSSED the receipt aside. A receipt for $1,800 that was marked as PAID. Then, she said "i'll order it today, it should be here Monday." We called the next Monday. still no chainsaw. Then Friday (today) my husband called again. She said "oh i called and left messages yesterday. The machine is here." Of course, another lie. We received NO calls yesterday. Anyway, my husband immediately walks out to his car...to get another call from A-Ok. Guess what? The chainsaw - his chainsaw we have been lied about to for months over - was accidentally given to someone else! And the only reason they realized? That guy called and said "I was given the wrong chainsaw." So, now we are stuck waiting until Monday when the chainsaw is returned and can only HOPE it was not used by the guy or opened. This company is utter bullshit. I sincerely hope NO ONE uses their services and if you do, be warned. Stay annoying and hopefully don't get jerked around like we did. Good luck.

Been doing landscape maintenance in Santa Barbara for the past 40 years. I hate shopping there. Really bad service, never the same people. I was just there 15 minutes ago, no one was there to assist you and there was only one other customer in the store.Just because you’re the only game in town doesn’t mean you should provide poor service.A lot of professionnels shop there only because they have to, no because they want to!

For me, Service here is well above the average. Brought in my Husky chainsaw cause I couldn't get it back together after chain replacement, and had no idea the issue ... took them 10 min, and no charge. Thought I'd be leaving it a week. Surprised the heck out of me! Very friendly as well. Thanks!

This is the last shop you want to consider for either buying or having small engine repair done in the Santa Barbara area. Their staff is extremely rude, and the price for any sort of repair is totally out of line with the area--and they are in sufficiently staffed with repair personnel--so expect a lengthy wait and you get to pay more. Multiple factors more. Another shop I discovered said to be about them was that if they had a nickel for every bad story they here about these guys they would be quite wealthy. I have spent thousands of dollars from these guys going back about 15 years from chipper shredders to log splitters, to commercial grade string trimmers and gas hedge trimmers. I've spent a lot on repair--I wish I'd done my homework more instead of just dropping things off and expecting an honest repair. For example, they wanted over $250 to 'repair' a brand new Honda lawn mower with about 45 minutes of run time in it in a year. I took it to another shop in which they cleaned the carb jets for nothing--did it in the spot. Ten minutes tops. These guys will try to nickel and dime you with everything--new spark plug, air filter, oil change--yet I put hour meters in all my gear so I know none of that was necessary. The business manager is a habitual non-truth teller. When I went there one early Saturday morning (their sign states open from 7 am to noon on Saturday) and no one was there I called them on Monday and the manager told me they have been closed on Saturdays for 2 years. Of course, she hasn't even been in this shop for two years. Two months ago she assured me that she would update the sign. Nothing. Doesn't bother. She told me she would take care of it but when I checked today nothing had been changed. If you are looking for a tax dodge, a way to lose money, own this business. I have repeatedly asked to speak to the owner and he never calls me back. I guess he truly doesn't care what is going on in his 'business.' Plenty of people there behind the counter don't seem to care.

Don't waste your time with this business. They close early without any warning. Had to come from out of town to pick up a product of mine they have and I can't get it because they closed an hour early. Extremely unprofessional. Was going to outsource detailing products from them but I will be ordering straight from the manufacturer to avoid their hassle.
