I think this may be the only positive car rental experience we have ever had. Alamo at Santa Barbara was quick and thorough and easy. The people who worked there were friendly and did their jobs. We will use them next time!

Rented a car from here and the car they gave me had several scratches and dents on the bumper, and the driver side mirror was very dinged up. The kid that reviewed the car said he documented that and we are of course not responsible for it. 8 months later, I go to rent another car from a different location and they tell me that I'm on a "do not rent" list because I owe them $412 for the damages. I told them this was wrong and asked them why am I just hearing about this now. They had no answer...

I booked a car here through Expedia and the reservation said it was confirmed. I paid for an Uber to get myself to the airport to pickup the car and then when I arrived Alamo said "we don't accept same-day rentals". This was very annoying as I had a reservation that said it was confirmed and already paid to get myself to the airport, but they assured me I would not be charged. A couple days later I look at my credit card statement and I have a $22 charge for the insurance, because Expedia says Alamo never cancelled the reservation and for all they know I did pick up the car. Whenever you call this location you get a busy signal. So Expedia won't refund me. The fraud and/or incompetence of both of these companies is just astounding.

Terrible outfit to rent a car from! Most worthless and unhelpful customer service reps over the phone and at the counter. Mistake over mistakes with our rental - - plus very dirty vehicles and all beat up when we picked it up! Will Never rent from them again!

Horrible customer service! My flight was delayed the date of my arrival and there was no one at their desk, I called customer service and they told me to come back in the morning to pick up my rental. They did not offer a solution to get me a car, horrible customer service. I will not use them again!

Rental experience was great. Post-rental experience, not so great. I dropped the car off before the front desk opened (around 4am) and put the key in the lock box. Going through TSA, I realized my sunglasses had fallen off my shirt while I was unloading my things from the rental. I left the gate to go looking for the sunglasses. They were inside the rental car, very clearly sitting on the drivers seat. I took a picture, sent it to the management phone number they texted me from, filed a missing item claim, and have reached out to the front desk multiple times. There’s been zero update from the claim I filed online (not even a confirmation email that I’ve filed a claim, which I find odd) and no updates when I call the front desk. With the exception of James (who’s been wonderful), no one seemed willing to help and I felt like I‘ve been given the runaround. Unless something miraculous happens, the sunglasses were very obviously stolen. So let my experience be a lesson to future renters—this is not a trustworthy Alamo location. Double and triple check that the car is empty before you return the keys.

I rented the weekend of graduation, which is possibly the busiest weekend of the year. I needed a minivan because of the need for a wheelchair transport. They did not have the vehicle I reserved because of another customer keeping the vehicle. Haley M, the station manager, did everything possible to accommodate us and to fix a situation that was out of her control. It was extremely stressful for me, but Haley continued to be pleasant and professional. Her approach and problem solving skills should be commended! She saved our weekend and my mother in law was able to travel with her wheelchair. Thank you Haley, and all the staff at Alamo, and special thanks to Richard L, for his knowledge of the various vehicles that were available! ?

I had the worst visit the manager lied that he didn’t have vehicles when I saw and told him he said that there miss placed by the costumers returning but they park them not the costumers rude arrogant

Horrendous. They rented me a vehicle, and than said come back in the morning to pick it up. Even though they guaranteed me one tonight. I’m staying an hour away, I asked if it’s possible to get a comped ride and a car tomorrow.. There response was I was ridiculous for asking and “we just won’t rent to you.” & hung up. Don’t TRY to rent from these special humans.

They were fast and the car was steps away. It was easy to leave and return the car.
