Do not switch to ATT for cable services. It’s absolutely terrible customer service (more like no service at all) constantly “let me transfer you to someone that can help” over and over. All the while, my bill has been payed and never late yet we don’t have internet service. Why? I don’t know. And apparently neither does ATT. We should’ve just stayed with the tried and true, Cox. Better service and no interruptions in internet/cable either.

No improving needed. We picked a low traffic mid week time to show up. Adam, in a Santa Barbara store, was an absolute wealth of knowledge and so pleasant to interact with; no pushy sell tactics. My daughter and I both left with new upgrades and were very satisfied with what we purchased, still are. Thank you, Adam.

Instead of using the website to handle my mobile needs, I decided to go to the local store 40 minutes from my house with my wife. The plan was to move her phone from a competitor over to my plan that I have had for over 30 years. Sounds easy right? Guess again.
When we arrived, we were immediately greeted and our name was added to the list. We waited about 1 second before being helped by Adrian. He was very nice, very fast talking... Gave us the options and we decided to keep her existing phone. The phone wasn't unlocked so he helped with clearing that up for us. Moved it all over and he said we are done. He had her call my phone and I called her phone and that was it. He said it was successful so we could cancel the other service. On our 40 minute drive home, we called and cancelled her service. HUGE mistake! I guess there was some phone number lock as well as the phone lock that we didn't get through and now if anyone has ANY OTHER phone than an iPhone, texts and calls don't come through. Adrian gave me his card, so I reached out a couple days later with a simple text. After a few hours my wife tried the number and left a not so nice message due to the frustration and no response. I FINALLY got a response 6 DAYS later.
We called and tried to work with tech support from AT&T as well as her carrier, but they couldn't resolve the issue and said it could take up to a week. This was unacceptable, since she needs her phone for work, and other things, so we planned to take trip number 2 to the store to get a new phone and number. This time we sat down with Manny. He was very calm and patient trying to potentially fix the first issue. He genuinely cared and wanted to help, but in the end, the only solution left was for us to just get away from this phone number and get a new one. We were told that her trade in value on her phone was $700, and she had 30 days to drop off her phone after she transferred the information from the old phone to the new phone. One more trip to the store later to drop off the old phone... we have now come to find out that the $700 is paid out over 3 years? This was never once explained to us until this third trip back to the store to drop off the old one after transferring the data.
A simple drop off the phone at the store today - where she watched three employees walk past her to a break room after they were done with their customers - ended with some rude sarcasm from the latest AT&T employee my wife had to deal with. Clearly frustrated, she literally gave up on Cesar to which he sarcastically said "bye, have a GREAT day" and she replied "F off". I can't blame her one bit considering the hassle and the run around we have gone through here.
Pros: Can't really think of any.
Cons: Too many to list and now I think I have a 3 year contract for no reason.
The story isn't over, but I will certainly be escalating this further and getting a resolution OR having my attorney dump this 3 year contract to move to a different carrier.

Adrian was super helpful at this AT&T location. Got me set up quickly and everything transferred over even though my old phone could barely work. He was also just a very cool salesman and wasn’t pushy or dismissive in anyway
