Chris showed up and took away the items I've had in storage for years! Sometimes it's hard to let things go. It's hard and I did it. Chris loaded the truck and was on his way. All of this happened within 20 minutes. Thank you!!!

The guy that does the pricing here has really jacked up the prices so much that it is getting to be a joke. Not any bargains here thanks to the crazy guy doing the prices! Do yourselves a favor and skip this so called thrift store!

Awesome place not only to find thrift goods, but it feels nice purchasing from a organization that has actually helped the community so much!!!

I went there with only twelve dollars in my pocket and the get out of jail free card. I didn't expect to spend all of it, but through the eyes of the lord it's better to be stuck in a cave than having your dreams caved in by lack of finances. Once I entered the store everything was used. The clothes. The toys. Even the glasses. I went up to the clerk with a slip in my jump tripping over my words while asking the clerk about why all this stuff is used. He's like " it's a used clothing store." I said , " Word. That's what's up." I'm an atheist now.

Every Friday I rush here after work to decompress with some retail therapy, the past few weeks I have come well before closing time and I am heartbroken to find they have closed early. Why have a posted closing time when you won't adhere to it??

I bought 2 items thinking my total would be $8 but it came out to $2 and some change! Great bargains, most of the clothings are on the older adults style. The workers are very nice and friendly!

This thrift shop walks the walk! Prices on some items can be steep but I love supporting this organization. Almost every time I am there, a homeless person or a person in a treatment program there picking out free clothing for themselves. The workers are so kind and respectful to the person and it is a pleasure to witness. I donate here and shop to help this organization. The real deal!!!

I should have posted a picture of the the framed Jesus dragging a passed out drunk guy to heaven. That was a real thought provoker and I want to meet the lucky thrifter who takes this gem home with them. Not sure why the astronomical prices for used goods. Winter coats are $25 and higher...You'd be better off going to Ross.

I had a very horrible experience and I hope no one has to go through this especially in a time when we are already stress out. I needed and still need rental assistance. It took them 2 months to follow up just to question me like I was a criminal, and after I said I was going to complain about Brian and Cristina. I'm not upset because I did not get assistance but because I really feel like I was discriminated... Brian even try to say that I will have a hard time trying to get assistance. WRONG!!! the same information I gave them I gave to someone else in October after being ignored for 2 months ...I give them negative 5 stars -*****

I used to go to Catholic Charities when I was in need of food. I started to notice that when I would bring food home from there I was getting bugs in all my cupboards and the food would be rotten(produce that is) I was in the grocery store one day speaking to the produce dept. asking them if they had any produce they were getting ride of. That's when he told me that all the produce they get rid of goes in the back of the store in the big trash bins and Catholic charities picks it up every day. I was appalled, so I drove around back to take a look, sure enough, the bin was full of produce with bugs crawling all over it. This is so disgusting. To think I have been getting food from this place for quite some time. How can this be allowed to the low income people of Santa Barbara. I grew up in this town, I think Santa Barbara can do better than that for its people.

Catholic CharitiesRead our review guidelinesEek! Methinks not.Recently paid for a futon sofa bed with instructions to deliver it the next day. I asked that it be marked "Sold" and specifically that it not be used to stockpile merchandise on it. Stopped back an hour or so later. It had not marked as sold, merchandise was piled on one end and a rather large lady was sitting on it. No effort had been made to notify staff or customers that the it was not be used. I asked for a refund and was told there was a no return policy. That policy was not noted on the receipt I signed. The clerk then pointed out a sign, not prominently displayed, hanging from the ceiling. That was not pointed out to me at the point of purchase. I pointed out I was not returning the merchandise, it had never left the store, Spoke with Brian Clark, manager of Catholic Charities. He agreed a refund would be appropriate. However the store manager, Chris, with whom I had had a run in some months prior to this incident, apparently harbors a resentment. As of today, he is still refusing to authorize a refund.

the lady in the office is very kind and polite, she helped me and it is an excellent second clothes store. It is even a store that does not ask for anything at other seconds. I buy my clothes here and I give 5 extrellas??
