El Capitan Canyon offers a unique vacation experience where luxury meets nature along the Santa Barbara coast. Nestled between the Pacific Ocean and the Santa Ynez Mountains, the resort provides nature lodging within historic oak and sycamore groves. Guests can stay in cozy cedar cabins, adventure yurts, or safari tents for a comfortable, elevated camping experience. The location is immaculate and very close to nature, with the beach less than a mile away. The environment is quiet, relaxing, and great for exploring. Amenities include an outdoor pool, a playground, a market and deli with good food, and evening concerts. Guests can explore scenic hiking trails with breathtaking ocean views, use free beach bikes, or visit the animals—including sheep, goats, a donkey, and llamas—on a hilltop trail. Accommodations like the Creekside cabins and Adventure Yurts are cozy and equipped with essentials for a true "glamping" experience, though some cabins are smaller than they appear. While there is no air conditioning, rooms provide space heaters and warm blankets. Communal bath facilities are generally clean and uncrowded, though some cabins offer private bathrooms. The staff is friendly and helpful. Overall, it is a very nice place perfect for creating memories, with nearby activities like hiking and surfing at warm beaches.

We had an amazing time. The cottage was beautiful. The view of the creek from the back porch was beautiful. The sound of the water flowing down the creek put us to sleep at night. Everyone was nice and helpful. We are definitely going to be coming back and telling all our family and friends.
