I came here for a trim. I have to say they did a pretty nice job. My stylist was very friendly and she did a good job of talking to me during my appointment. Sometimes people are quiet and its just a silent experience. i prefer a friendly one with someone who is talkative. This place is located on State St.Service: Haircut

Terrible experience! I arrived at my appointment on time, but none of the staff greeted me. I was completely ignored. After I waited 15 minutes or so, I finally interrupted a stylist with her work and informed her of my name and that I had an appointment. They responded that I would be the next customer. After around a half hour after my appointment time, a staff member became free for my haircut. No apologies, etc were ever given, and I was surprised at the low level of service.Service: Haircut

I started going here after my son mentioned he was getting cuts for about $20. I'm a no frills, let's get it cut, person. I love that I can walk in and usually get a cut and shampoo within 30 min. It helps that my hair is fading into the sunset- less to cut. They always ask me what I want and the haircut for me is honestly very relaxing. I do not think about work (kindergarten teacher) and just relax. It's easy to park right out front, too.Service: Haircut

Erlinda cut my hair in early January and I'm still growing it out (April 2022). This woman should not be allowed to cut hair! She grabbed my hair in the back, pulled it tight at the crown and cut it to about an inch of my scalp. I literally looked bald from the back of my head. Why she gets great reviews is a mystery. I will never go back to this salon!

Well, my hair ended up staying a brassy yellow/orange. Of course, I was blamed and told that I'd "signed the papers in advance." Therefore, it was inferred that because I had signed the papers, I should have known what I was getting into. Terrible customer service with Audrey, the manager. Sassy, not friendly, blaming me for not realizing that I'd "signed papers." Nope, that is NOT going to get you new customers. The proper response would have been, "I'm so sorry that happened. How can we make this right?" Audrey, you need to brush up on your manners and your customer service skills. Now, I've watched several YouTube videos and taken matters into my own hands. I learned how to use proper toners, etc to get rid of the yellow/orange. Am I happy with it? Not 100%, but it's better now than it was. Good Luck if you decide to go with them anyway.

Having found someone good enough to cut my hair here...(or anywhere, for that matter) had been a very difficult task, which I've tolerated at Fantastic Sam's, dur to one person, & their former prices. Thus, this review is about the owner of the Santa Barbara locations, who has implemented the most illogical & downright infuriating protocol of tipping the stylist, which is charged separately, on a different system...& a FEE is added to it! Logically & expectedly, none of the staff like or understand this idiotic & short-sighted system, & I've tried to bring this to the owner's attention, which is made very hard by omitting any method of contacting him or his office directly, so I tried to do it through FS's HQ, but no one has ever even bothered getting back to me. As for the owner, he obviously could NOT care less...& like most customers, I'll be searching for an alternative....
