Fibula is not at this location anymore but in Montecito being run out of a studio behind the owner's home. On 2 occasions I've had jewelry that I purchased from them repaired and in both cases, they kept the metal that was removed. I had my late husband's wedding ring made smaller so I could wear it and there was a fair amount of metal that was cut out. On another occasion I had some spacers, that were pretty big, removed from one of their rings so I could wear it on another finger. They also kept that metal. I suggest doing repairs elsewhere. They don't do it there and send it out to who-knows-where, and then charge a hefty price for it. I also don't think it's ethical. It should not even be a question about whether you want your gold back or not, they should just return it.
