I have been practicing carpentry all of my life and have built some fairly complex pieces myself, but did not have the time for this one. Since I build things myself, I can see the finer details of their work and respect their skill and attention to detail. You might not see all of those details, but you will experience the difference in the sturdiness of the construction and the precision in all of the seams and joints. “Big city futon has been in business for 18 years now and is part of Santa Barbara County sleep shops in Design Center. You are never going to make everyone happy, and satisfied customers usually don't go on and post that everything went perfectly. You don't really hear about all the planes that land safely. It is now under new ownership and we will continue to give you really good products and always striving to have the best possible service. Come in and visit at Big City Food time because you can also pick up luxury mattresses or designer sofas or recliners at the same store. Truly a very friendly buying experience.”

“We had some Moroccan rugs that we thought were ruined by a new puppy. Dozens of urine stains on each rug. Carpet cleaning companies could only remove the urine crystals to eliminate smell, but couldn't do a thing about the stains, so they sat stained for about a year, totally set in. I dropped the rugs at SBDC as my last resort. They completely transformed the rugs! I couldn't believe my eyes. They looked brand new! I'm very pleased and grateful to Michael and the rest of the crew. They are friendly, professional, and know what they are doing.”

“I never leave reviews, but looking at my couch I got from Michele over a year ago, I'm still in love. It's so comfortable and looks beautiful still...despite me and my cats best efforts. Michele was so patient with me while I picked out my fabric, asked her endless questions, and asked her them all over again. It was a very big purchase for me and Michele made me feel like it was equally important to her. You just don't get that kind of "human experience" in retail anymore. “So I'm really glad I'm posting this review; I definitely had the opposite experience of other folks who didn't feel welcomed at the store. I was completely welcomed and I don't look like your typical RH customer - I was dressed very casually and could've easily been ignored like I have been at other high-end stores. But I actually went in for some cabinet pulls (I know, not the biggest sale for a salesperson) and the staff could not have been nicer or more welcoming. Instead of the customary greeting (which is fine by the way) my salesperson got up from her desk/project and made sure I had everything I needed, was curious about my project, and attended to me with all of the time in the world. I couldn't have felt more appreciated as a customer, even with a small purchase. So Kirsten was amazing; but I had to go back the next day to complete the sale and again, was treated in the same manner, by Bree, who could not have been more helpful or welcoming. I understand the concerns of previous reviewers with different experiences - I've had that in high-end shops as well in the past. I just wanted to say for the record that my latest experience could not have been better. The store is obviously beautiful and their products speak for themselves - I wish I could buy all of it; the quality is usually amazing and worth the price tag. But service wise they just do a really great job at this store. I would come here again for the service any opportunity I had to work on a home project. Great folks!”

“After a few hiccups with the order and delivery, some avoidable some not, the tub is hooked up thanks to Efrem and his team. I live in an old and funky house and he was able to get the electric ready to go to handle the higher voltage tub. Glad to have his contact, provided by the shop, and once I figure out the chemical balance, I’m looking forward to using this tub like crazy.”

“I have had hip pain for years that prevents me from getting a good nights sleep. I read the negative reviews here but decided to talk to Peter anyway and see for myself. Best decision I ever made. He could have sold me a 2-3,000 mattress but said he had one in the back that was a misorder or something and I could have it for much less. He listened to my problem. Showed me all the options. Then told me I could try this and if it did not solve my problem I could return it if I used a full zipper cover over it. The night before I had a painful horrible night sleep. Peter went out of his way to deliver the mattress on a Sunday night at 7 PM so I would not have another bad night. That night I slept on the new mattress and for the first tome in years I had ZERO hip pain and slept like a baby. The next day I felt like a new man. This was literally a life changer for me. I can't thank Peter enough. Read all the reviews you want but I decided to make my own decision and I am glad I did. Very appreciative!”

“Tiny modern two-story urban Target with most the essentials. Plenty of kind assistance. Easy in and out parking lot with half the spaces intentionally traffic-cone blocked. Unknown reasons. Pick-up spots and a few regular spots available the Saturday afternoon we visited. Facilities unfortunately in horrific condition despite sufficient staffing. (We weren't excited about cleaning the Facilities when I was a teenager in retail either... give-and-take I suppose.) Reliable visit.”
