“Been training at The Base with Craig for around 6 months and it's been the best choice I've made for my fitness. I've gotten so much stronger while remaining injury free since there is a big focus on correct form. Craig and the other trainers are extremely knowledgeable and gracious while coaching. The environment is welcoming and folks from all ages and fitness levels attend. Everyone is focused on their training while being friendly. No one is around filming themselves for social media as you would find at most gyms.Great location, showers available and always clean. You will not regret trying this gym”

“Theresa S leads the best mat Pilates class I’ve ever been to. At 75 I can set my own pace while younger people can also work up to their potential in the same class.”
“We recently started going to My Gym and it has been absolutely amazing from my 8 month old. My son has recently started crawling and always wants to do something. My Gym has been great because there is so much room for him to move around with soft floors and soft things to play on (mats, stairs, etc). The teachers are awesome and set up different exercises for the kids, and they do a great job helping them through the exercise and making it a positive experience. The owner, Charles, is also extremely nice, great with kids and has created an awesome business. Highly recommend for littles who need something to do!”

“Amina is one of my favorite trainers in Santa Barbara. She pushes me out of my comfort zone into developing new skills and building my strength, and does it with a smile, a ton of love and all while keeping it fun. Amina has helped me build my confidence. Her space is absolutely beautiful-I don't even feel like I'm in a gym! In addition to enjoying training with her one-one-one, I love taking classes (including the yoga) in her space... she attracts kind, thoughtful and fun people and I love the community.”

“I tried crossFit here for the first time, and Danielle was super welcoming. I usually can't train on the weekends since. I have my boys, but she was very sweet in allowing me to have them hang in the couch area while I did my first session. I did enjoy the people and the experience and will be returning. Thank you CrossFit Pacific Coast mom.”
“For the past 3 years, The LAB has been my fitness haven. After giving up soccer and running due to chronic injuries, I found my way here, and it's been life-changing. I've not only returned to the sports I love but I'm fitter than ever. The staff's expertise is evident; they've custom-tailored workouts that cater to my specific needs. It's like having a personal team dedicated to my success.Three years in, I'm reminded that we only have one body in this life, and The LAB helps me treat it well.Cheers to The LAB for helping me achieve my fitness goals!”

“Nice little gym. Low key. I was just visiting the area. Came in after 10pm on a Tuesday. Attentive helpful staff. Fair drop-in price. Very few people. Have showers. I did some cardio, a bench press set, and some yoga in the second floor mezzanine. Will be back.”
“Been a member for years. You definitely get what you pay for, classes are included in your monthly fee which is $199 a month. Honestly, that's a great price if you're using the gym everyday like I do it's basically $7 a day if you break it down (girl math) the Earthbar is great for a quick protein shake or açaí bowl. They have indoor and out door locker rooms, with steam and sauna and they just added cold plunges a while back. The personal trainers are great as well, I've been seeing mine for the past 3 months who is phenomenal. The staff is always friendly and helpful. Other than their sister club in Goleta this is by far the best gym in Santa Barbara.”

“I tried the 8-class intro and 2 free sessions – all the instructors were amazing! Every class was different and easy to follow, even for non-native speakers. The studio is clean, bright, and welcoming. I’ll definitely come back next time I’m in the U.S. — wish we had Bar Method in Vienna! ? ? THANKS!!!”
“I love coming here to work out, the staff are very friendly and I love to talk to people while working out . They also show college and pro football games on the tv so it’s always fun to listen to a game while working out.”

“Best gym ever. 24/7 key fob access is perfect for my hectic schedule! It’s very clean. It’s very peaceful and quiet. Very friendly staff. The members are very chill and respectful. I love that this gym is representative of practicality and functionality yet affordable! Thanks AC4!”
“Great independent gym. I was a weekly drop-in while visiting. Weekly price was reasonable and access was easy. Owner was very accommodating too. The gym is well equipped and is open 24/7. The members were very friendly too. This will be my go to gym when visiting SB.”
“We love you guys!! Jeff, Shannon, Sarah, Natalya are great coaches!! Love all the front desk girls they are the best start and end to a great workout. Best studio ever! - Fran”
“Curves Santa Barbara is a great place for busy working women to quickly workout, build muscle and increase strength. Their hydraulic resistance equipment is ready to use and addresses my upper body, lower body and my core. A big plus; the equipment doesn't require any adjusting, you just get on and go! I even add a few yoga poses to my workout routine. I am gaining strength and building muscles while enjoying a fast work out, meeting new friends, and the trainer/manager Denise, featured in these pictures, makes working out so much fun. She's an inspiration!”
“Montecito YMCA is a very welcoming community, especially for people new to fitness. I just started my fitness journey there, and the staff were inviting and encouraging during every visit. I've started swimming there, and the lifeguards were friendly and attentive. I was a little discouraged with my fitness journey after exhausting myself with a few laps across the pool, but the lifeguard on duty encouraged me and reminded me that everyone goes at their own pace. It's about the journey not the performance :)”

“I have been working out at Variant Training Labs since October 2022. I came to Variant because of knee pain and other reoccurring injuries that prevented me from performing at my best in my recreational sports. Variant’s Test Treat Train approach has helped revitalize my body and let me live a better healthier life.”

“This was the first gym I ever belonged to and I can't imagine having a better experience. I was nervous and anxious as a beginner at the gym and this community made me feel welcomed and accepted regardless of skill level immediately. Alice the owner takes the time to personally recognize everyone by name and introduce all members to each other because she truly cares about fostering an environment of comfort and confidence for everyone.”
“I live in Santa Barbara part time and I love the classes at this YMCA. Every instructor is amazing. I enjoy going here. I recently had an issue with my membership and I made several attempts to resolve so I made one last attempt today before I lost my mind over it. Tracie (sp?) the new manager called me back she was great. She needed to talk me off the ledge and she did in a very professional and kind manner. She didn't shy away from a difficult conversation, she stepped up and worked it out with me. Thank you for your willingness to call me back and discuss!”

“Super friendly staff. The membership crew Josh and Joe were friendly and helpful with a concern of mine. Isaac, the training team manager and trainer himself, was super kind thorough and knowledgeable. Accommodating and understanding of my physical restrictions which showed his experience
The equipment is quality and the environment is great! Nice to find a solid gym to join after my move to SB, especially with how many choices there are”
“Amazing gym and environment. I had a great introduction to the gym when I first arrived. Bruce Dani and Andrew are very helpful when I needed help around the gym . Dani gave me an amazing tour and got me a great deal. I will for sure bring more buddy’s to this gym love it here.”

“Supportive gym with very kind staff and good amount of weights. Nice and small. it can get crowded if you go too late but I go fairly early so it's never an issue. A few machines don't have the little pin to choose the weights which could use improvement. Very fair price though, definitely a nice gym for the price in Santa Barbara. Just go early in the day in my opinion”
“What a great workout in my first F45 class while visiting my son and daughter-in-law! I felt instantly comfortable as Coach Bolden and Coach Jonah checked in with me right away on how I was doing, pumped me up, and gave tips on form and alignment through each station. Fun music, great energy; I left feeling energized and stoked!”
