A rare gem in a world of expensive mediocrity!”

“My fiancé and I went to Truong with an old family engagement ring in need of repair. He consulted with us and talked through what our options were as far as repair or recasting. During the process, he gave us fair advice and didn't push us in one direction or the other. When we eventually decided to recast the ring, he worked with us to create an updated design that preserved the original ring's style while reinforcing particularly delicate elements that caused wear issues in the original design.
We were really impressed by how Truong asked detailed questions, listened to our needs, and came up with the perfect design. He is very professional and clearly loves his craft. We are stunned by and so happy with how amazing the recast ring looks, and the way he preserved our cherished family heirloom.”
“My sister, son and I were on a road trip through CA and we were in Santa Barbara. While sitting in our hotel room an ad came up for Anna Janelle for permanent bracelets. I had never heard of this and went to Anna Janelle's website which was full of information. I told my sister about it and we decided to see if we could make an appointment for the next day, but none were available. We decided to stop in after breakfast to see if we could do walk in. I'll be honest, we had a hard time locating the store in the plaza but once we did it was a cute store. The owner greeted us and we asked about the permanent bracelets. She happily explained the process, told us about the gold used and showed us the options available. There was no wait for the service. We both selected the same chain and the process took about 10 minutes for fitting and welding. I also found a few other cute items in the store. Even my son loved the store and the jewelry. I could not have been more happy with my experience and the items I purchased. “I was so happy to discover Peacock Beads (the reincarnation of The Bead Store, formerly on De La Guerra St), now owned by a mother-daughter team. The store is absolutely beautiful, welcoming, and fully-stocked with an abundant array of beads, crystals, gorgeous hand-made jewelry, and supplies. I took in a precious abalone necklace that needed restringing and some repair. They did the fix for a very reasonable price, and really took the time to understand what I wanted. If you are a bead lover, or just like unique, atmospheric, and locally-owned boutiques, be sure to visit them on Cota St.”

I first called earlier and talked to Myla; told her I was in town visiting and needed to repair and adjust my Rolex presidential bracelet. One of the pins fallen out. “What an awesome little store! It reminds me of old town santa barbara before the elite turned it into what it is today. This place has the biggest selection of trinkets, jewelry and earrings. My daughter and I could have spent the day in there just browsing. The prices are great as well. 3 bucks for a couple of nose rings! Can't beat that price with a stick! “This place has the best customer service. One of the owners drove to our house to hand deliver my husband’s ring the day before our courthouse wedding, so we would have it on the day, rather than picking it up the day after.
My wedding ring was oversized and I was going to have it resized. The ring got a little damaged (maybe because of it being oversized) so they custom made a new ring to fit the size of my finger at no extra charge.
I am always pleasantly surprised by how incredible they treat their customers. I would definitely want to send any future business over here!”
