“I love World Market. I go there for the wine and candles, both have an excellent selection to choose from. I miss the scented votive candles that they use to carry, but they do have small scented candles in glass containers that are excellent. Their inventory is so much fun, esp if you have time to browse. Only hiccup was the gal that checked me out. Slightly short of really rude.”
“WOW, just WOW. Mesa Liquor is the little store that COULD! Not only do they have seemingly every possible kind of liquor you might ever need, but they also have some beautiful high-end, hard to find liquors like the sipping tequilas I've bought there this year.
BUT, a store with an astoundingly great inventory is nothing without staff that understands the product.
Rabi is THAT guy. A legit connoisseur who can guide you to discover some truly fine adult beverages. I love being able to talk to someone who has tasted some of the finest flavors and can speak––not from a sales point––but from the perspective of listening to and accurately and deciphering MY tastes.

And a good wine selection and a pretty good selection of spirits. It was also very clean and had friendly service.”

“I live in Boston and wanted to send a mixed case of wine to some friends in Santa Barbara. I called Jason out of the blue and he put together a fantastic mixed case and arranged for it to be delivered. These guys have a fascinating selection of wines, deep personal knowledge and a real service attitude. If I lived nearby I would be there every week.”

“Always friendly, good place to pick up a quick drink or snack. There are always people coming and going. Very busy place. Usually plenty of parking, but sometimes the parking lot can get full. You just never know. I go here all the time for lottery tickets, and NO I haven't won!”
“Basic but convenient little store. They don't make 'em like this anymore. I know that Talevi's recently moved to the building next door from their prior location, but walking in is something of a time warp to a simpler era. It's very old school inside which I enjoy - but is kept very clean and organized. I've found Talevi's to have a good selection of booze, especially craft beer. I enjoy the beer area tucked away into a back corner of the shop. This place also has your standard snacks and merchandise as well, and I've never found their shelves to be empty or unorganized. The staff are all very friendly, especially the owner. Customer service at mom-n-pop convenience stores can be a hit or a miss, so it's rather refreshing to see that this place cares about the customer. It's reasons like this that make me want to come back here again.”
“The Waterfront Snack Shack is one of those places you may not give a lot of thought to, but this Gem of a Business is something Special!Richard and his wife Dolly own this Family run Boat Launch Institution. Now that Summer is Kicking off they've Enlisted the well paid help: their Grandsons Dash and Jack .Richard is a Korean War Veteran, as a fellow Veteran we are Kindered spirits. Spending time chatting I sometimes help deploy the Flags. The Snack Shack Hot Dog is World Famous with locals, Visitors, and Celebraties. Their pictures adorn the the walls throughout the building. “love this little market, the cashiers are always kind and helpful and there’s a great selection of stuff for it being so small. they seemingly have anything you need in a pinch: quick snacks, ice cream, lots of drinks, peanut butter, cereal, canned goods, even paper towels and toilet paper!”
“Crown liquors is a great spot for a wide variety of alcohol beverages with affordable prices ranging from beers to hard liquor with an endless supply.Numerous amounts of cigarettes with name brand and off brand if you prefer.Customer service is very professional, always greeting you at the door, at the counter when ready to pay, once before departing very polite and always smiling.The cleanliness of the store is unbeatable, I couldn't ask for anything more, smells fresh, counters and other areas are always disinfected along with all the windows and door handles, everything is in order from the different variations of chips, soda, coffee, juice and many other of your favorite snacks of choice.One thing I love about this place is everytime I walk in, the atmosphere is amazing, I feel comfortable that I can find anything that I am craving such as my coca cola, and when I can't find what I'm looking for witch is not very often, I simply ask the clerk and they walk over and guide me to where this specific item is, if you are looking for something like this then Crown Liquor is your only choice.Crown Liquor is my number one store for all my necessities.”

“Excellent customer service. Claudia and the other super pretty girl are so polite and nice. Also there are a couple nice young gents. Everyone is polite and attentive. The car wash is a good deal too. But the self serve fresh ground coffee with refillable mug is a $1. Get the mug. Best cheap coffee in California. Only thing I would improve: Better fresh cream options (bagged milk dispenser maybe)? and if the car washes were $1-2 less I would get them more often. I like their build a 6 pack selection.”

“I have been walking here from my house in the neighborhood since I could walk; Westside Market has been a staple of the westside for decades. IMPORTANT INFO: THIS is THE only place to buy lighter fluid/butane in I think all of Santa Barbara after 9pm (til midnight!)PS fun fact: Elias used to own this market; he's the best! Now he owns the smoke shop on De La Vina and Mission called Paradise Smoke Shop; pop on over there for all your tobacco and head change needs ? He and his son run an awesome shop! Cheers!”

“I've been coming to this market since 1995. It's been owned by the same Family since then. Definitely not Montecito it's on the Eastside of Santa Barbara. Everyone that works there the owners, cashier and stocker are friendly. You can find all the basics there, fairly priced. Thy have a decent selection on everything from the beer/spirits to candy for the kids. Having El Sitio next door is a plus! After grabbing a Torta Cubana I go to Fairway to get a Pacifico (beer at El Sitio is a little pricey). I just wished they were open a little later on the weekends, but can't blame them Salinas St is pretty dead after 9.”
“The only liquor store I go to in Santa Barbara, always the best collections of liquor and wine! They have a great selections of snacks for those long car rides and random cute Santa Barbara attire. The staff is always really nice and they even let you bring your dog in, if your on a walk or on a run and need to grab a water or gatorade! It's best liquor store on Milpas St!”
