Always had good experience during lunch. But going to dinner was just a disappointment. Went during a Easter Sunday (today), sat us down fairly quickly and put our order in within 5 min. About 3 other groups and 1 big group of 12 got sat down. Everyone that came after including the big group got their food before my friends and I (3 total). Waiting an hour just to get our food which we ended up taking to go after waiting so long. Bill and clean up came instant while we put our food into our to go container.

Stopped here for a quick bite. Ordered the Lunch Special: Mongolian Beef Made to order. Nothing was too salty. Vegetable Egg Roll tasted good, with a hint of fresh ginger. The Mongolian Beef was tender, warm, flavorful, and delicious. Fried rice was not salty and didn't have any veggies. The service was friendly and responsive. No complaints here. Price was average. The place was half way filled with people for a late lunch. Looked and felt and smelled clean. I will definitely come back and try some other offerings.

Food was very bland, service was very impersonal and server needed prompting for basic services. Hallway to restroom area extremely cluttered.

We LOVE Mandarin Palace! I love the assorted appetizer (back east we called it PuPu). Over the past 10+ years we've enjoyed just about everything on the menu. The Lemon Chicken is my favorite, my husband loves the shrimp in lobster sauce. All their Chow Meins are excellent! You cannot go wrong here!

This is our go to spot in SB for vegetarian Chinese food. So many options, but we love the kung pao veggie chicken and the braised tofu. The service is usually fast with the order and food, but somewhat inattentive after that. The servers sort of expect to be waved down as they're running around and respond quickly when you do. The ambiance is usually bustling, as this place is nearly always filled with students from ucsb and SBCC. It's not fancy, pretentious, or even very orderly, but if you know what to expect when you go, it might even end up being your go-to Chinese restaurant too.

Delicious Chinese food. Wouldn’t say it’s 100% authentic but the food is good nonetheless. Loved the special dish 蚂蚁上树 (“ants climbing on the tree”) which is a spicy dish consisting of minced pork and glass noodles. The decor is weird for a Chinese restaurant lol.

Meh, just not that good. The food all tasted kinda the same and had a constant fried oil flavor. Server was actually kinda rude and never checked on us, plus the booth we sat in was really grimy. Much better Chinese food options in town.

We stopped by the place on our day trip on Christmas Day! We had a hard time finding a decent place open and came across this restaurant. They had a lot of people waiting outside and told us it would be a 45min wait due to lots of orders. We were seated in 10min and got service right away. It took a bit to get the food but we understood because they were extremely busy but we had appetizers in the meantime. The food came and it was extremely delicious, the staff was very apologetic about the wait time, they were very attentive. I would definitely recommend stopping by if you are in Santa Barbara!

The worst food we have had in a long time. Egg Foo Yung patties were totally disintegrated in the veggies and sauce. The dried string beans were luke warm at best and the vegetarian egg rolls were overcooked and mushy inside. I do not recommend this restaurant in any way. When we explained what was wrong the waiter simply shrugged his shoulders.

Is the woman at the front desk going through menopause? Before I went in, I specifically asked if the queue at the door was for pick-up. I wanted to dine in, so I walked in directly. When she came out, she looked like I didn’t want to queue. She said that even if I dine in, I have to queue behind the pick-up queue. Really. TM is absolutely amazing.
