Mesa Bookstore is an excellent and amazing used bookstore on the Mesa in Santa Barbara, described as a real neighborhood treasure. It is a great tiny bookstore, small but packed floor to ceiling with books from head to toe, creating a beautiful sight for book lovers. The store has so many books it is crazy, spanning a truly impressive set of genres. Customers find interesting books and many gems, with a small selection of low-cost books at the front. The owner is extremely kind, gentle, well-read, and very nice. Staff is friendly, helpful, and happy to assist in finding specific categories or books. The ambiance is very nice and cozy, with a strong feeling of respect for the workplace and a visible appreciation for literature. Prices are great and reasonably priced, with most books under ten dollars. The store provides complimentary cool bookmarks. It is considered one of the very few used bookstores in the entire area.
Absolutely enjoyed every minute I was in this quaint bookstore. I stumbled upon it while waiting for a sandwich at the nearby deli. A fantastic selection and even better company. The owner is adorable and I wished I lived closer to come back for more!
