Mother Stearns Candy Co. is a fun stop and a cute store on the pier, considered the best candy store in town. The shop itself isn't huge, but it packs a ton of variety with a solid selection for everyone. The candy is great, high quality, and fresh, featuring taffy with rotating flavors, massive gummies, sour belts, Mexican candy, and chocolates. It is an awesome little shop and the best place to get dessert or snacks. Customer service experiences vary. Many reviews highlight incredibly incredible, kind, caring, and welcoming service from accommodating staff who provide samples and beautiful energy. However, other experiences note the staff can be hit or miss, and unfortunately not the friendliest or most welcoming overall, with sometimes unwelcoming interactions. Despite this, the shop is worth stopping by for its excellent selection.
The taffy was amazing, and they had a great selection of souvenirs. The prices were a little high.

The people here were incredibly incredible. James let us sample the chocolate and was very accommodating. You don’t see customer service like this anymore!-)
