Rented with National in Santa Barbara and was served by very kind and efficient staff. Crystal was friendly and welcoming and we had a great conversation about baseball as we completed the agreement. The car was practically brand new and was a pleasure to drive. I’ll be back.

National is by Far the best Car Rental Company. They have seemed to figure it out. There is no crazy lines or archaic paperwork from a dot matrix printer. Just show your ID and go get your car. Best by far.

Website states being open til 11:30pm. When call automated states they are closed. They are all about customer service and the surveys when I droppped my car off, but 10 hours later still no email with my bill so I can complete my expense report. Will use Turo or uber next time I am in Santa Barbara.

Rented a Ford Edge to 3 days. What a great automobile, roomy and very stylish. The pickup and drop off of rental was seamless and very timely, thank you.

The staff has always been very professional here and the cars are clean and usually a good variety of vehicles to choose from. However, seeing that flights come from LAX to the Santa Barbara airport and many flights come in between 930 and midnight the rental car companies in including National should stay open, especially if they have reservations. I had to sleep on the airport because I needed to be in a city an hour away from the airport at 7am...oh, the counter does not open until 8. The crazy thing is, I was not alone. Several people were in the same predicament. This is the second time I got stuck here and it's getting old...one time an employee was kind enough to stay over and helped me and others but she made it clear that the counter is " supposed to be closed now" I thank you for that consideration but management should consider scheduling people to work until midnight with there is a heavy flight schedule...smh!!

Excellent service and easy to travel. Cars are easy to select, and you choose what fits your trip.I have been using National exclusively for over15 years and still find that they do an excellent job for a good value.

Super disappointed to wait for 2 hrs at Santa Barbara airport and in the end not get the rental I reserved months in advance under my husbands account for points. We made multiple phone calls to customer service and were told they could remake the reservation. This new reservation wasn’t accepted by the person working at the desk and they said they had no cars available to me yet kept passing out keys to everyone else in line. They didn’t communicate when I would get the rental I paid for and had terrible customer service. I ended up contacting Thrify down the road and they shuttled me so that I could pick up my rental. They were very professional and helpful I will take all future business to them.

Horrible service... lame excuses given by the 3 customer service employees as to why we have stood waiting for a car for going on 30 minutes....still don't have car. Rent from Avis or hertz they aren't having any issues

Very polite and courteous staff. I have availed the services of this location many times and I have never had a single issue. Unfortunately, they do not have an Emerald Aisle but the staff is quick to help you out. Also while car rentals throughout the country are facing a shortage, SBA National Car Rental always delivers and I am always able to find a reservation.

We needed a ride to our hotel, the manager who was on duty at the time came by and made sure we were standing in the correct location of the pick up, inquired about our well being, and then a few minute made arrangements for a driver just to take the two of us directly to airport hotel. National well done.

Picked up our car at the Lyon France airport. Once we arrived none of the staff seemed at all interested in assisting us. There was only one customer ahead of us and I counted at least 7 staff around the pick up center. It took nearly an hour for us to be attended to and on our way. Contrast this to the typical service I have always experienced at National and to be honest I felt I was on another planet instead of another country.

Zack at the Santa Barbara Airport location provided excellent customer service. He discounted our rate because he felt we had waited too long for our car. We requested an SUV which wasn't on the primary lot, so he brought it in from a secondary lot. Great attitude and service from Zack!
