Extremely Safe Campus with breathtaking scenery and architecture. Pacifica Faculty is both friendly and professional. Very little light pollution and overlooking the ocean shoreline, there are few sights that are breathtaking.

A lack of 100 percent participation from the student body. You know who you are, go to class, stay in class, just like your employer expects.

I am a current student in the Engaged Humanities and the Creative Life program but I have friends in every program the school offers. I have wanted to go to Pacifica for years but have been afraid to take the plunge. There were many things to consider. Money was a chief factor for me as well as making the time in my life for such a rigorous academic program. When I finally took the plunge the school helped me every step of the way. Not once have I been left hanging in this program. From the beginning the financial aid department has taken me through the process step by step. No one in the administration has ever been too busy to answer questions. I got a very good aid package for a post graduate student. The courses are rigorous and are what you make them. The professors go above and beyond for you but they also trust you are an adult and will act accordingly. The course material is interesting and engaging and the school library meets all of my needs. They literally carry thousands of books and are very accommodating. One of the best parts of the hybrid programs is residential. It is amazing to immerse your entire self in what you are studying for a few days uninterrupted in the beautiful hills of northern California. The views of the ocean on the edge of campus are inspirational. As an artist my work is taken seriously on two levels. First as art for art sake. Secondly as a contribution to the universal dialogue about the human condition, society, and the mysteries of the human psyche. Pacifica is helping change how we look at art and artists. As far as the schools credentials are concerned I initially looked into the Clinical program and it was made VERY clear about the status of their accreditation status. I did not choose that particular program because I wanted to explore other aspects of working with the human psyche NOT because of the school's status with accreditation. I have since had the privilege of hearing lectures given by faculty in the Clinical program and was amazed by their presentations. If you are searching for a school to give you a structured way to explore the mysteries of the human soul this is the place for you. If you are looking for a school to do in depth study of Jung and post Jungian Psychology this is the place for you. Joseph Campbell yeah they got all of his work. If you are an artist searching for a way to bridge the language of the image with the that of psychology or Depth Psychology you are in the right place. If you have a burning desire to be of service to the soul of the world Pacifica can give you creative, useful, and concrete guidance. I am so happy I took the risk and dove into Pacifica.
