The State St. store has been in chaos the last year. When I walked in recently there were people who could help, stock on the shelves and it was really nice to be in your store.

Great store lots of parking
employees may not be as friendly as your pet depending on who's working. Iv had my ups and downs if your buying fish make sure you say you have a tank or they wont sell it to you even a .10 cent goldfish

The employees are over the top. They are willing to help you and they go out of there way to make you happy. I've been going there for 15+ years.
Chris is the best employee I have ever seen. He's young but very knowledgeable !!!

Fish were not healthy and died shortly after purchase. Fish stocks were not healthy in other tanks in the store . A formerly healthy fish in my tank took ill and died shortly after the new fish and water from store tank were introduced to my otherwise healthy tank

This place is HUGE, with lots of inventory from which to choose. Grandkids LOVE to browse and check out the critters, and let their imaginations sore.

Extremely friendly staff especially in the grooming department where I took my dog to be groomed it never ceases to amaze me how good he looks when he comes out I'm getting a bath a haircut and a shave as I like to say I strongly recommend Petco dog grooming at Petco Central in Santa Barbara California and the prices are right for what you need.

I’ve been going to this groomers for months and had an amazing experience with Ace every time. But last time I went in for my dogs usual nail file, no one was around so I had to get a cashier from the front and they went to the back to get the groomers after a while. Two ladies came out and I was bummed it wasn’t Ace but continued anyway. When I came back for my dog, his nails were still long on some paws, I debated going back in and saying something because they definitely weren’t filed which costs more and is what I asked for. I didn’t go back in to complain but my dog ended up with an infected dewclaw and the vet asked me if I had taken him to the groomer lately…so I don’t know what they did but I’ll be requesting Ace next time. I had to pay for an antibiotic and vet fees which was pricey :(
