I wanted to love it, I really did. But...unfortunately, this was one of the worst spa massages I have ever had. The technician was lovely however was very chaotic, moving from my arm to foot back to arm to other leg, tangled sheets...and mostly using elbows. i didn't bother speaking up as so many things were wrong that I just quietly waited for it to end. I will sadly never return. Oh and the spa locker rooms, don't even get me started on how unkempt they were.

Jakob is an amazing stylist. He was fantastic at helping me communicate what I wanted out of my cut and color experience and his confident execution of the balayage and cut made so happy that I chose Salon Del Mar. Jakob was able to make my hair feel much healthier while taking off minimal length (as I am trying to grow it out). I will 100% be booking future hair appointments here and requesting Jakob. Super reasonably priced as well!Services: Haircut

I don't think this place is still in business.

Never showed up for scheduled appointment. Very unprofessional to say the least ! Front desk couldn't even get a hold of the stylist. When you plan your day around an appointment, so frustrating.

I was left extremely devastated with the experience I had with this company/stylist, I was treated with no professionalism. I had scheduled a month in advance for a bridal hair appointment for a Monday April 18th at 9 AM. I originally tried making an appointment online but never got a response so I had to call in which wasn't an easy feat. I understand cases where businesses are short staffed but the stylist "Sherry" I spoke to over the phone, assured me she would make an exception to come in for me on a Monday. Baring in mind it was right after the easter weekend, you would think there would be better planning on her part. She should have been back in Santa Barbara the night before our appt. I chose this salon because it was convenient as I was staying at the Hilton hotel where the salon is located. I had planned to go down in my robe and maybe sip on champagne. On the day of my wedding Sherry texts me at 5:45 AM "can you triple confirm??? I'll have to leave now I'm coming from San Diego." Who triples confrims a wedding the day of? I didn't see this until 7am when I got up. I was frozen in place waiting around thinking there was still a chance she would make it on time or at least an hour later. I kept checking in with her every few minutes or so, her eta kept getting later and later. Nor could she find a replacement in the meantime. Obviously I was not expecting this to happen, instead of getting ready I had wasted two hours calling around trying to find a replacement. Most businesses were not even open yet therefore I had to leave a bunch of voicemails and the ones that were open were fully booked until the afternoon which was no use to me as my ceremony was at 1pm. I had to get my husband to run around and buy me curling tongs/ flat irons etc. since I never brought my own. Luckily I did get a call back around 10:30AM from Havon Salon in Montecito. So rushed over there. I had to be fully ready to leave the hotel room at 12:30pm to make the wedding yet I was still in a robe and only just showered. The stylist at Havon (Beatrice) was a godsend, she was very accommodating and knowing my situation, she squeezed me into her busy schedule while she was processing another clients hair. By the time I was done, I was only left with 20 minutes to get dressed and do make up, barely making it to the wedding on time. For what is supposed to be "the best day of my life" I have never experienced such stress and anxiety. I was not able to be in the moment and savor the ritual of getting ready for my husband to be. I feel robbed of that!

A friend and I had appointments for a blow out this Sunday for a wedding. We walked 10 minutes from another hotel with wet hair only for Tanya to never show up. No one answered the salon phone. Left Tanya a voicemail and an email. Never heard back. After waiting over an hour, we walked back to our hotel. Quite embarrassing to be looking so scraggly with our wet hair from one lovely hotel to another.

Being new to the Bay Area I had no idea where to go. I was told that if I wanted the best to go see David Lassman at Salon Del Mar SB Salon. I was NOT disappointed.

The salon is a full service salon located in the old Fess Parker hotel now owned by Hilton. You will find many stylists working here and Jacob is the one I like to do my hair and who I reschedule to see. They accept the Axxess card which means they support the local school district charities as well.

Salon Del Mar is a little oasis nestled in the beautiful Hilton beach front resort hotel down on Cabrillo boulevard. I've been coming here since October and have had all the stylist work on my hair. Everyone here is extremely talented and extremely knowledgeable on the current trends that are going on. I love that they are also a sustainable salon and use brands that are conscience of the environment. Kevin Murphy and Davines being two of the brands they use. I have attached a photo of my hair after Annie gave me a blowout you can clearly see how shiny and healthy my hair looks after using these two product lines. The picture also shows off the color Jakob did on me a while back. I highly recommend this place!

The only place in town I trust to get my haircut. Ocean views and super friendly staff. The bar is right next to the salon for a post cut cocktail!

This review is well overdue and belated... but they say "better late than never", right?! I have been coming to Salon Del Mar inside the Hilton Santa Barbara Beachfront Resort (previously Fess Parker) for just over 2 years. Jakob has been my stylist from day one and is just as much of a perfectionist as myself. Although my haircut could take 10 minutes anywhere else, he takes the extra time with each clip of his scissors to make my hair just perfect. Over time, he has earned my trust to restyle my hair--not an easy feat! During my appointments we tend to be the free entertainment for the rest of the salon given our endless bickering and chuckling. However, when I need a break from it all, I simply look out the large salon windows at the gorgeous ocean view with the Channel Islands in the background. Nonetheless, Jakob is super talented and remains still affordable in comparison to other salons throughout Santa Barbara/Montecito. All the stylists at Salon del Mar are sweet and fun to carry on conversations with--Shout-out to Sherry the owner, Kara and Annie. When I have an appointment, I technically kill three birds with one stone because: - I can drink a glass of wine during my cut - I can charge my electric/EV car in the hotel lot for free (parking validation available) - I receive an amazing style, shampoo/condition and cut Every time I leave here all beautified, my inner diva feels the need to sing Toderick Hall's song "Nails, Hair, Hips, Heels!" If this doesn't discreetly say "Get your hair done here," I don't know what does...
